4. Setup Guide

Follow these steps carefully to install your motherboard and its components. Ensure your system is powered off and unplugged before beginning any installation.

4.1. CPU Installation

  1. Locate the LGA1150 CPU socket on the motherboard.
  2. Gently push down the load lever and pull it sideways to open the CPU socket cover.
  3. Align the triangular mark on your Intel LGA1150 CPU with the corresponding mark on the socket. Carefully place the CPU into the socket without forcing it.
  4. Close the socket cover and push the load lever back into its locked position.
  5. Apply thermal paste to the CPU and install the CPU cooler according to its manufacturer's instructions.

4.2. Memory (RAM) Installation

  1. Locate the two DDR3 DIMM slots.
  2. Open the clips at both ends of the memory slot.
  3. Align the notch on the DDR3 memory module with the key in the DIMM slot.
  4. Insert the memory module firmly into the slot until the clips snap into place. Ensure both clips are fully closed.

4.3. Storage Device Installation

  • SATA Drives: Connect your SATA hard drives or SSDs to the SATA3.0 (6Gbps) or SATA2.0 (3Gbps) ports using SATA data cables. Connect the other end of the cable to your storage device. Ensure the power cable from your power supply is also connected to the device.
  • M.2 SSD: Locate the M.2 2280 slot. Insert your M.2 SSD into the slot at an angle, then gently push it down and secure it with the provided screw.

4.4. Expansion Card Installation

  1. Identify the appropriate PCI Express slot (PCIe3.0x16 for graphics cards, PCIe2.0x1 for other cards).
  2. Remove the corresponding expansion slot cover from your PC case.
  3. Align the expansion card with the slot and press it firmly until it is fully seated. Secure the card with a screw to the PC case.

4.5. Power Connections

  • 24-pin ATX Power: Connect the main 24-pin ATX power connector from your power supply to the corresponding slot on the motherboard.
  • 8-pin EPS Power: Connect the 8-pin EPS (CPU) power connector from your power supply to the 8-pin slot near the CPU socket.

4.6. Front Panel Connections

Connect the cables from your PC case's front panel to the corresponding headers on the motherboard:

  • USB 2.0 PIN: Connect front panel USB 2.0 ports.
  • USB 3.0 PIN: Connect front panel USB 3.0 ports (operates at USB 2.0 speed on this board).
  • Front Audio PIN: Connect front panel audio jacks.

5.1. BIOS Setup

5.2. Operating System Installation
