1. Product Overview
The Inateck HB2025C USB C Hub is designed to expand the connectivity of your host device. It converts a single USB-C port into four USB 3.2 Type-A ports, enabling high-speed data transfer for multiple peripherals. This hub is compact, lightweight, and compatible with various operating systems, making it suitable for both desktop and portable use.
- 4-Port USB-C Hub: Expands one USB-C port into four USB 3.2 Type-A ports.
- USB 3.2 Gen 2 Data Transfer: Offers a high-speed transfer rate of 10Gbps, backward compatible with USB 3.0. The four USB-A ports share this 10Gbps speed.
- Compact and Portable: Measures 10.2 x 3.3 x 1.4 cm and weighs 44g, designed for easy transport.
- Wide Compatibility: Supports Windows 11/10/8/7, Mac OS, and Linux.
- Plug and Play: Supports hot-swapping and requires no driver installation.
- Cable Length: Features a 1.6 ft (50 cm) integrated cable for flexible connection.

2. Setup Instructions
- Connect the Hub: Plug the USB-C connector of the Inateck HB2025C hub into an available USB-C port on your computer or host device.
- Automatic Recognition: The hub supports hot-swapping and is plug-and-play. Your operating system (Windows, Mac OS, Linux) should automatically detect and configure the device without requiring additional driver installation.
- Connect Peripherals: Once the hub is recognized, you can connect your USB-A devices (such as external hard drives, USB flash drives, keyboards, mice, etc.) to the four available USB 3.2 Type-A ports on the hub.

3. Operating the Hub
3.1 Data Transfer
- The hub provides four USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A ports, collectively supporting data transfer speeds up to 10Gbps.
- Connect your USB 3.2 or USB 3.0 compatible devices to these ports for optimal performance.
- For devices that are not USB 3.0/3.2 compatible, the hub will operate at the highest supported speed of the connected device (e.g., USB 2.0).

3.2 Power and Charging
- The Inateck HB2025C hub is designed for data transfer and does not support charging devices.
- It draws power from the host computer's USB-C port. The maximum current output is typically 5V/3A, but this can vary depending on the host computer's port capabilities.
- For devices requiring significant power (e.g., multiple external hard drives), it is recommended to use self-powered versions of those devices to ensure stable operation and prevent intermittent disconnections.
4. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the hub. Avoid liquid cleaners or abrasive materials.
- Storage: Store the hub in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- Handling: Avoid dropping the hub or subjecting it to strong impacts. Do not attempt to disassemble or modify the device.

5. Troubleshooting
- Device Not Recognized:
Ensure the hub's USB-C connector is fully inserted into your computer's port. Try connecting the hub to a different USB-C port on your computer. If a specific peripheral is not recognized, try connecting it directly to your computer to verify its functionality. Rebooting your computer can also resolve recognition issues. - Slow Data Transfer Speed:
Verify that both your host computer's USB-C port and the connected peripheral support USB 3.2 Gen 2 (10Gbps) or USB 3.0 (5Gbps) for optimal speeds. Older USB 2.0 devices will operate at their native slower speeds. The 10Gbps bandwidth is shared among all four ports; heavy simultaneous usage of multiple high-speed devices may result in reduced individual transfer rates. - Intermittent Disconnections:
This can occur if connected devices draw more power than the hub can supply from the host port. The hub does not provide external power. For power-intensive devices like external hard drives, use models with their own power adapters or connect only one such device at a time to the hub. - Hub Becomes Warm:
It is normal for the hub to become warm during extended use, especially when transferring large amounts of data or with multiple devices connected. This is typically due to power dissipation and does not indicate a malfunction. Ensure adequate ventilation around the hub.
