5. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your Keychron V1 Max, please refer to the following common troubleshooting steps. For more detailed assistance, consult the official Troubleshooting Guide PDF available on the product page.
5.1 Connectivity Issues
- 2.4 GHz / Bluetooth Disconnection: Ensure the keyboard is charged. Check that the correct mode (2.4G or BT) is selected via the side switch. For 2.4 GHz, ensure the receiver is securely plugged into your device. For Bluetooth, re-pair the keyboard with your device.
- Lag or Input Delay: Ensure the keyboard is within range of the receiver/device. Minimize interference from other wireless devices. For critical tasks, consider using the wired Type-C connection.
5.2 Key Not Responding
- Individual Key Failure: Due to the hot-swappable design, a faulty switch can be replaced. Use the switch puller to remove the problematic switch and insert a new one. Ensure the switch pins are straight before insertion.
- Software Glitch: Try restarting your computer and the keyboard. Ensure the keyboard's system toggle is set to the correct operating system (macOS/Windows).
5.3 Backlight Issues
- RGB Not Lighting Up: Check if the backlight is turned off or set to a very dim level. Adjust brightness using the designated key combinations (refer to Quick Start Guide). Ensure the keyboard has sufficient battery charge.
