3. Setup Guide

3.1. Before You Begin

  • Ensure you have a stable 2.4Ghz or 5Ghz WiFi network available.
  • Download the "SECUEYE" app from your smartphone's app store (iOS or Android).
  • Unpack all components and verify nothing is missing.
  • Prepare a suitable location for installation, considering power access and WiFi signal strength.

3.2. Initial Setup Steps

  1. Power On: Connect the camera to a power source using the provided charger. The camera will initiate self-test and indicator lights will flash.
  2. App Installation: Search for "SECUEYE" in the App Store or Google Play Store and install the application.
  3. Account Registration: Open the SECUEYE app and register a new account or log in if you already have one.
  4. Add Device:
    • Tap the "+" icon in the app to add a new device.
    • Select "Add Camera" or scan the QR code located on the camera body (if available).
    • Follow the on-screen prompts to connect the camera to your WiFi network. Ensure your phone is connected to the same WiFi network you intend for the camera.
    • During the WiFi configuration, you may be prompted to select between 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz. Choose the appropriate band for your network.
  5. Device Naming: Once connected, you can name your camera (e.g., "Front Door Camera", "Garden Camera").

  • To view recorded footage, tap the "Playback" option in the app. You can select specific dates and times to review events.

4.2. Motion Detection and Alerts

  • Configure "Human Detection" to minimize false alarms from pets or environmental factors.

6. Troubleshooting
