Setup
1. Battery Installation
The indoor display requires 2 x AAA batteries, and the outdoor sensor requires 2 x AA batteries (not included).
- Open the battery compartment on the back of both the indoor display and the outdoor sensor.
- Insert batteries according to the polarity indicators (+/-).
- Close the battery compartments securely.

2. Sensor Placement (Outdoor Unit)
For accurate rainfall readings, proper placement of the outdoor sensor is crucial.
- Place the sensor 1-2 meters (3-6 feet) above the ground.
- Ensure the sensor is in an open area where rain can fall freely from all sides, away from obstructions like trees, buildings, or overhangs.
- The transmitter (433.92MHz RF transmitting frequency) should have a clear line of sight or minimal obstructions to the indoor display for optimal wireless communication.

3. Display Unit Placement (Indoor Unit)
- Place the indoor display unit in a convenient location within the wireless range of the outdoor sensor.
- Avoid placing it near large metal objects or electronic devices that might interfere with the wireless signal.
- The display unit can be placed on a flat surface using its support frame or mounted on a wall using the hanging hole.

Operation
1. Initial Synchronization
After installing batteries in both units, the indoor display will automatically attempt to connect with the outdoor sensor. This may take a few minutes. Once connected, the outdoor temperature and rainfall data will appear on the display.
2. Setting Time, Date, and Language
To set the time, date, and language:
- Press and hold the "MODE/SET" button to enter setup mode.
- Use the "HIST/UP" and "DOWN/ALERT" buttons to adjust values.
- Press "MODE/SET" again to confirm and move to the next setting.
- Settings include: 12-hour or 24-hour mode, current time (hour and minute), Month/Date or Date/Month mode, current year, current month and date, and language (7 options).

3. Temperature and Rainfall Units
You can switch between Celsius (°C) and Fahrenheit (°F) for temperature, and millimeters (mm) and inches (in) for rainfall.

- Press 1x: Alarm 1 activated.
- Press 2x: Alarm 2 activated.
- Press 3x: Both alarms activated.
- Press 4x: Both alarms deactivated.

5. 24-Hour Rainfall Alert
Set a customizable rainfall alert:

- Choose the desired rainfall increment (e.g., 0.1-inch increments) to trigger the alarm.

6. Viewing Rainfall History
The display stores rainfall data for various periods.
- Press the "HIST/UP" button to cycle through historical data: Now, 1 Hour, 24 Hours, Today, 7 Days, Month, Year, and Total precipitation.
- The rainfall history is viewable by the month for the past 12 months.

7. Rainfall Cylinder Graph
The indoor display features a rain cylinder graph with 10 segments that visually represent the rainfall total.
- Up to 25.4 mm (1 inch) of rainfall: Each segment indicates 2.54 mm (0.1 inch) of rainfall.
- Over 1 inch of rainfall: Each segment indicates 5.08 mm (0.2 inches) of rainfall.
- The cylinder graph will read up to 1270 mm (50 inches) of rain. Over 1270 mm (50 inches), the graph will show full.

Maintenance
1. Cleaning
- Periodically clean the outdoor rain collector to ensure no debris (leaves, dirt, insects) obstructs the tipping bucket mechanism. A soft, damp cloth can be used.
- Clean the indoor display with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners.
2. Battery Replacement
- When the low battery indicator appears on the display, replace the batteries in both the indoor and outdoor units promptly.
- Always replace all batteries with new ones of the same type (2 x AAA for indoor, 2 x AA for outdoor).
