Product Overview
The AMIR Wireless Weather Station consists of a main display unit and a remote outdoor sensor. The main unit features a large, clear LCD screen with a backlight for easy readability.
Main Display Unit

The main display unit shows indoor temperature and humidity, outdoor temperature and humidity, and a weather forecast. Key features include:
- Large LCD Screen: Provides clear readings at a glance.
- Touch Backlight: Illuminates the screen for 10 seconds for easy viewing in low light conditions.
- MAX/MIN Records: Tracks the highest and lowest temperature and humidity values over the last 24 hours.
- Weather Forecast: Predicts weather conditions for the next 12-24 hours based on atmospheric pressure changes.
- Low Battery Indicator: Alerts when batteries need replacement for both indoor and outdoor units.
Remote Outdoor Sensor

The remote sensor wirelessly transmits outdoor temperature and humidity data to the main unit. It is designed for outdoor placement and has a transmission range of up to 328 feet (100 meters) in open areas.
- Wireless Transmission: Sends data every 30 seconds.
- High Accuracy: Equipped with a Swiss-made sensirion sensor for precise measurements.
- Multi-channel Support: The main unit supports up to 3 remote sensors (additional sensors sold separately).
Setup
1. Battery Installation
Ensure you have 3 AAA batteries for the main unit and 2 AA batteries for the remote sensor.
- Main Display Unit: Open the battery compartment on the back of the main unit. Insert 3 AAA batteries, observing the correct polarity (+/-). Close the compartment.
- Remote Outdoor Sensor: Open the battery compartment on the back of the remote sensor. Insert 2 AA batteries, observing the correct polarity (+/-). Close the compartment.
2. Initial Settings (Temperature Unit & Weather Symbol)
When batteries are first inserted, the unit will enter temperature unit setting mode. The °C/°F symbol will flash.
- Temperature Unit: Press the SET button to switch between Celsius (°C) and Fahrenheit (°F). Press the MEM button to save your selection.
- Weather Symbol: After saving the temperature unit, the weather symbol will start flashing. The default is partly sunny. The unit will automatically adjust to the correct symbol over time. If you wish to manually adjust the reception time of the wireless thermometer, you can do so by using the SET button.
Note: After replacing the wireless sensor batteries or if the RF signal is lost, you need to press and hold the CH button on the main unit to re-establish connection.

Operation
Reading the Display
The main display unit provides real-time information:
- Outdoor Section: Displays outdoor temperature and humidity, along with the current weather forecast icon.
- Indoor Section: Displays indoor temperature and humidity.
- Channel Indicator (CH1): Shows which remote sensor channel is currently displayed.
Backlight Function

To activate the backlight, gently touch the light bulb icon at the top of the main display unit. The backlight will illuminate for approximately 10 seconds to conserve battery power, making it easy to read the display in low-light conditions.
MAX/MIN Records

The device records the maximum and minimum temperature and humidity values over the last 24 hours. To view these records:
- From the normal display, press the MEM button once to view the maximum (MAX) stored indoor and outdoor temperature/humidity values.
- Press the MEM button a second time to view the minimum (MIN) stored indoor and outdoor temperature/humidity values.
- To delete the highest and lowest temperature and humidity values manually, press and hold the MEM button.
Weather Forecast Interpretation

The weather station predicts the weather for the next 12-24 hours based on atmospheric pressure changes. The forecast is represented by various icons:
- Sunny: Clear skies.
- Partly Cloudy: Some clouds, but still sunny.
- Overcast: Fully cloudy.
- Rain: Precipitation expected.
- Thunderstorm: Rain with thunder and lightning.
- Snow: Snowfall expected.
- Heavy Snowfall: Significant snow accumulation.
The weather forecast is an estimation and may not always perfectly match actual conditions.
Channel Switching (for multiple sensors)
If you are using multiple remote sensors (up to 3 supported), you can switch between their readings on the main display unit. Press the CH button to cycle through the channels (CH1, CH2, CH3). The display will show the temperature and humidity for the selected channel.
Installation and Placement
Main Display Unit Placement

The main display unit offers versatile placement options:
- Desktop Stand: Use the integrated folding stand on the back of the unit to place it on any flat surface, such as a desk, table, or shelf.
- Wall Mount: Utilize the hanging hole on the back of the unit to mount it on a wall using a screw (not included).
Place the main unit in a central location indoors, away from direct sunlight, heat sources, or drafts that could affect its indoor temperature and humidity readings.
Remote Outdoor Sensor Placement

For accurate outdoor readings and optimal wireless transmission, consider the following for the remote sensor:
- Location: Place the sensor in a shaded area, protected from direct sunlight and rain, to ensure accurate temperature readings. An ideal location would be under an eave or on a north-facing wall.
- Range: The sensor has a maximum transmission distance of 328 feet (100 meters) in an open area. Walls, metal structures, and other electronic devices can reduce this range.
- Mounting: The sensor can be hung using its integrated hanging hole or placed on a flat surface.
Maintenance
Battery Replacement
When the low battery indicator appears on the display for either the indoor unit or the outdoor sensor, replace the batteries promptly to ensure continuous and accurate readings. Follow the battery installation steps outlined in the "Setup" section.
Cleaning
Wipe the display unit and remote sensor with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents, as they may damage the plastic components or the screen. Ensure both units are dry before re-installing batteries or placing them back in operation.
Storage
If the device will not be used for an extended period, remove all batteries from both the main unit and the remote sensor to prevent battery leakage and corrosion. Store the device in a cool, dry place.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| No display on main unit. | Batteries are dead or incorrectly installed. | Check battery polarity. Replace with new AAA batteries. |
| Outdoor reading is dashes (---) or inaccurate. | Sensor out of range, low sensor battery, or interference. | Move sensor closer to main unit. Replace sensor batteries. Press and hold the CH button to re-establish connection. Avoid placing near large metal objects or strong electronic devices. |
| Indoor reading is inaccurate. | Main unit placed near heat source, direct sunlight, or draft. | Relocate the main unit to a stable indoor environment. |
| Weather forecast is incorrect. | Unit needs time to learn atmospheric pressure changes. | Allow 24-48 hours for the unit to calibrate and provide more accurate forecasts. |
| Backlight not working. | Low battery in main unit. | Replace AAA batteries in the main unit. |
