Setup and Installation

Proper installation is crucial for the safe and efficient operation of your fryer. It is highly recommended that installation and gas connections be performed by a qualified professional.

1. Unpacking

Carefully remove the fryer from its packaging. Inspect for any shipping damage. Retain packaging materials for future transport or return if necessary.

2. Placement

Place the fryer on a level, non-combustible surface. Ensure adequate clearance from walls and other equipment for ventilation and maintenance access.

3. Adjusting Feet

The fryer is equipped with 4 adjustable feet. Rotate the feet to customize the working height from 6 inches to 7-1/2 inches and ensure the unit is stable and level. This also allows for easier cleaning underneath the unit.

4. Gas Connection

Connect the fryer to the appropriate liquid propane gas supply. All gas connections must comply with local codes and be performed by a licensed gas technician. Ensure all connections are leak-tested before operation.

5. Initial Cleaning

Before first use, clean the fry pot and baskets with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely to remove any manufacturing residues.

Operating Instructions

1. Filling the Fry Pot

Ensure the drain valve is closed. Fill the fry pot with cooking oil to the indicated 'MIN' and 'MAX' fill lines. Do not overfill or underfill.

2. Ignition Procedure

  1. Turn the thermostat control knob to the 'OFF' position.
  2. Open the gas supply valve to the fryer.
  3. Follow the specific ignition instructions located on the fryer's control panel or inside the access door to light the pilot light.
  4. Once the pilot is lit, turn the thermostat control knob to the desired temperature setting. The main burners will ignite.

3. Temperature Control

The fryer features a millivolt control thermostat, allowing precise temperature adjustment from 200°F to 400°F. Set the knob to the temperature appropriate for the food being fried. The fryer automatically cuts off the gas supply if the temperature exceeds 450°F as a safety measure.

Maintenance and Cleaning

Regular cleaning and maintenance will extend the life of your fryer and ensure optimal performance.

1. Oil Draining and Filtering

The built-in full port drain valve makes draining used oil quick and easy. Ensure the oil has cooled to a safe temperature before draining. Filter the oil regularly to remove food particles and extend its lifespan.

2. Fry Pot Cleaning

After draining the oil, clean the fry pot with a non-abrasive cleaner and hot, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely. For stubborn residue, a fryer cleaning solution may be used following manufacturer instructions.
