4.2 Installation of Outdoor Unit (Doorbell)

  1. Choose a suitable location near your door, approximately 1.2 to 1.5 meters (4 to 5 feet) from the ground, ensuring a clear view of visitors.
  2. Place the doorbell mounting plate against the wall at the desired height and mark the drilling points.
  3. Drill holes at the marked points and insert the wall plugs.
  4. Secure the mounting plate to the wall using the provided screws.
  5. Attach the outdoor doorbell unit to the mounting plate, ensuring it clicks securely into place.

4.3 Placement of Indoor Unit (Monitor)

The indoor monitor can be placed on a flat surface like a table or shelf, or mounted on a wall using its dedicated mounting plate. Ensure it is within the reception range of the outdoor unit (up to 5 meters for optimal performance) and has access to a power outlet if you wish to keep it continuously powered.

4.4 Initial Pairing/Connection

The doorbell and monitor units are typically pre-paired at the factory. If they do not connect automatically upon powering on, refer to the specific pairing instructions in the full manual (if provided separately) or contact customer support. Generally, a pairing button or menu option on both devices will initiate the connection process.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Answering a Call

When a visitor presses the doorbell button, the indoor monitor will ring and display the live video feed from the outdoor unit. Press the 'Answer' button on the monitor to initiate two-way communication.

5.2 Two-Way Communication

Once the call is answered, you can speak to your visitor through the monitor's built-in microphone and speaker. The visitor can also speak to you through the doorbell's microphone and speaker. Adjust volume as needed using the dedicated buttons on the monitor.

5.3 Monitoring

You can manually view the live feed from the outdoor doorbell at any time without a visitor pressing the button. Press the 'Monitor' button on the indoor unit to activate the camera and see what's happening outside your door.

5.4 Recording and Photo Capture

While viewing the live feed or during a call, you can capture still images or record video. Insert a small memory card (up to 256GB, not included) into the monitor's designated slot to enable storage. Use the 'Record' or 'Photo' buttons on the monitor to capture footage or images.

5.5 Night Vision

The outdoor doorbell automatically switches to infrared night vision mode in low-light conditions, ensuring clear visibility of visitors even in complete darkness.

6. Maintenance

To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your intercom system, follow these maintenance guidelines:

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the surfaces of both the outdoor and indoor units. Do not use abrasive cleaners, solvents, or chemical sprays.
  • Outdoor Unit: Periodically check the camera lens for dirt, dust, or cobwebs and gently clean it to maintain clear image quality.
  • Battery Care: For units with built-in batteries, avoid fully discharging them frequently. If storing the device for an extended period, charge it to about 50% and recharge every few months to prevent battery degradation.
  • Firmware Updates: Check the manufacturer's website periodically for any available firmware updates that may improve performance or add new features.
