4. Setup

4.1 Charging the Scanner

Before first use, fully charge the scanner. Place the scanner into the charging cradle, and connect the cradle to a power source using the provided USB cable. The scanner has a 2600mAh battery for long-lasting operation.

4.2 Connection Modes

The HW0015 supports three connection methods: Bluetooth, 2.4G Wireless, and USB Wired. Select the appropriate mode for your device.

4.2.1 2.4G Wireless Connection

Plug the 2.4G USB dongle into your computer or host device. The scanner will automatically connect. This mode offers a transmission distance of up to 328ft in barrier-free environments and 164ft with obstacles.

4.2.2 Bluetooth Connection

To connect via Bluetooth, activate Bluetooth on your host device (smartphone, tablet, computer). On the scanner's screen, navigate to the connection settings and select Bluetooth. Pair the scanner with your device.

4.2.3 USB Wired Connection

Connect the scanner directly to your computer using the provided USB cable. The scanner will function as a wired device and charge simultaneously.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Screen Settings and Customization

The integrated screen and keypad allow for direct customization of various scanner settings. Use the navigation buttons (Up, Down, Back, OK) to browse and select options.

  • Connection Modes: Switch between 2.4G, Bluetooth (HID, SPP, BLE), and USB.
  • Sounds: Adjust volume (High, Middle, Low, Mute) and frequency.
  • Vibration: Enable or disable vibration feedback.

5.2 Scanning Modes

The scanner offers multiple scanning modes to suit different operational needs:

5.2.1 Manual-Trigger Mode

Press the scan button to activate the scanner and read a barcode. Release the button to stop scanning. This mode is ideal for precise, on-demand scanning.

5.2.2 Continuous Scan Mode

In this mode, the scanner continuously emits a scanning beam, allowing for rapid scanning of multiple barcodes without repeatedly pressing the trigger. This is suitable for high-volume scanning tasks.

5.2.3 Auto-Sense Mode

When a barcode is presented within the scanning range, the scanner automatically detects and reads it without requiring a trigger press. This hands-free mode is convenient for stationary scanning setups.

5.3 Data Storage

The HW0015 features 16MB of internal memory, capable of storing over 100,000 barcodes. This allows for offline data collection when not connected to a host device.

5.4 Adding Prefix/Suffix

You can configure the scanner to add a custom prefix or suffix to scanned barcode data. This feature is useful for data organization and integration with various software systems.

6. Maintenance

6.1 Battery Care
