This manual provides essential information for safe operation, setup, and maintenance of your new boombox. Please read it thoroughly before use and retain it for future reference.
2. Important Safety Information
- Power Source: Operate the unit only from the power sources indicated on the marking label. Use the provided AC power cable or 8 x 1.5V 'D' type batteries (not included).
- Water and Moisture: Do not expose this appliance to rain or moisture. Do not place objects filled with liquids, such as vases, on the appliance.
- Ventilation: Ensure adequate ventilation. Do not block ventilation openings.
- Heat: Do not place near heat sources such as radiators, heat registers, stoves, or other apparatus (including amplifiers) that produce heat.
- Cleaning: Clean only with a dry cloth.
- Servicing: Do not attempt to service this product yourself. Refer all servicing to qualified service personnel.
- Batteries: Dispose of used batteries according to local regulations. Do not mix old and new batteries or different types of batteries.

4. Setup
4.1 Powering the Unit
The M-380GBS can be powered by either AC mains electricity or batteries.
- AC Power: Connect the detachable AC power cable to the AC input jack on the back of the unit and then to a standard 240V ~ 50Hz wall outlet.
- Battery Power: For portable use, insert 8 x 1.5V 'D' type (LR20/UM1) batteries into the battery compartment on the bottom of the unit. Ensure correct polarity (+/-) as indicated inside the compartment. Batteries are not included.
4.2 Antenna Setup
For optimal FM radio reception, fully extend the telescopic antenna located on the back of the unit. Adjust its position for the best signal.

5.1 General Controls
- Power Button: Turns the unit on or off.
- Function Selector: Switch between CD, Cassette, FM, Bluetooth, USB, and AUX modes.
- Volume Control: Adjusts the overall sound level.
- Treble/Bass Controls: Individual knobs to adjust high and low frequencies.
5.2 CD Player Operation
- Set the Function Selector to 'CD'.
- Open the CD compartment door.
- Place a CD with the label side facing up.
- Close the CD compartment door. The CD will begin playing automatically or display the total number of tracks.
- Use the Play/Pause, Stop, Skip Forward, and Skip Backward buttons to control playback.
- The 'Repeat' function allows you to repeat the current track or the entire CD.
5.3 Cassette Player/Recorder Operation
- Set the Function Selector to 'TAPE'.
- Press the 'STOP/EJECT' button to open the cassette deck.
- Insert a cassette tape.
- Press 'PLAY' to listen to the tape.
- Use 'REWIND' and 'FAST FORWARD' to navigate the tape.
- Recording: To record from CD, FM radio, or AUX input, first select the desired source. Then, with a blank cassette inserted, press the 'RECORD' button on the cassette deck. Press 'STOP' to end recording.
5.4 Bluetooth Connectivity
- Set the Function Selector to 'Bluetooth'. The unit will enter pairing mode, indicated by a flashing Bluetooth icon on the display.
- On your smartphone, tablet, or other Bluetooth device, enable Bluetooth and search for available devices.
- Select 'MUSE M-380GBS' from the list of devices.
- Once paired, the Bluetooth icon will stop flashing, and you can stream audio from your device to the boombox.
5.5 FM Radio Operation
- Set the Function Selector to 'FM'.
- Extend the telescopic antenna for best reception.
- Use the 'TUNING' knob to manually scan for radio stations.
5.6 USB / Micro SD (TF) Playback
- Set the Function Selector to 'USB' or 'SD' (depending on the input you are using).
- Insert a USB flash drive into the USB port or a Micro SD card into the TF card slot.
- The unit will automatically detect and begin playing MP3 files from the storage device.
- Use the Play/Pause, Stop, Skip Forward, and Skip Backward buttons to control playback.
5.7 AUX Input
- Set the Function Selector to 'AUX'.
- Connect an external audio device (e.g., MP3 player, smartphone) to the 'AUX IN' jack using a 3.5mm audio cable (not included).
- Play audio from your external device. The sound will be output through the boombox speakers.
5.8 Microphone Inputs
The unit features two MIC input jacks. Connect standard microphones (not included) to these jacks for karaoke or recording purposes. Adjust microphone volume as needed.
6. Maintenance
- Cleaning the Unit: Wipe the exterior of the unit with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- CD Lens Cleaning: If CD playback becomes erratic, use a commercially available CD lens cleaner disc to clean the laser lens.
- Cassette Head Cleaning: Periodically clean the cassette heads, pinch rollers, and capstans with a cotton swab lightly dampened with isopropyl alcohol.
- Storage: When not in use for extended periods, disconnect the power cable and remove batteries. Store the unit in a cool, dry place.
