5. Operating Instructions

5.1. Key Functions and Layers

Due to its 60% compact layout, some functions are accessed via the FN key in combination with other keys. Refer to the keycap legends for secondary functions. For example, the F-row keys (F1-F12) are typically accessed by holding FN and pressing the corresponding number keys.

5.2. Backlight Control

The keyboard's RGB backlighting and sidelights can be adjusted. Use the dedicated backlight control keys (often marked with sun icons or similar) in combination with the FN key to cycle through lighting modes, adjust brightness, and change colors. The VIA client also allows for extensive customization of lighting effects.

5.3. QMK/VIA Customization

The Air60 V2 supports QMK/VIA, allowing for advanced customization of key assignments, macros, and lighting effects. 6. Maintenance

6.1. Cleaning

To clean the keyboard, disconnect it from all power sources. Use a soft, lint-free cloth slightly dampened with water or a mild cleaning solution. Avoid spraying liquids directly onto the keyboard. For keycaps, a keycap puller can be used to remove them for deeper cleaning.

6.2. Switch Replacement

As the Air60 V2 features hot-swappable switches, individual switches can be replaced if they become faulty or if you wish to change the typing feel. Use the provided keycap puller to remove the keycap, then use a switch puller (not included, but commonly available) to carefully extract the switch. Insert the new switch, ensuring the pins align correctly, and then reattach the keycap.

7. Troubleshooting

  • Keyboard not responding: Ensure the keyboard is charged. Check the connection mode switch (wired, 2.4GHz, Bluetooth) is set correctly. For wired, try a different USB port or cable. For 2.4GHz, ensure the dongle is securely plugged in. For Bluetooth, re-pair the device.
  • Connectivity issues (2.4GHz/Bluetooth): Ensure the keyboard is within range of the receiver/device. Minimize interference from other wireless devices. Update drivers for your computer's Bluetooth adapter if necessary.
  • Keys not registering: Check if the keycap is properly seated. If the keyboard is hot-swappable, try removing and re-inserting the switch for the affected key.
  • Backlight not working: Ensure the backlight is enabled and brightness is turned up using the FN key combinations. Check VIA software settings.
  • Battery draining quickly: Reduce backlight brightness or turn off RGB effects. Ensure the keyboard is fully charged.
