5. Maintenance and Cleaning
Regular cleaning and maintenance will prolong the life of your appliance.
- Always unplug the appliance before cleaning.
- Motor Unit: Wipe the main motor unit with a soft, damp cloth. Do not immerse it in water or spray it with liquids.
- Stainless Steel Bowls and Mixing Tools: These can be washed in warm soapy water or placed in a dishwasher (check manufacturer's guidelines for specific parts if available, otherwise hand wash is recommended for longevity). Rinse thoroughly and dry immediately to prevent water spots.
- Glass Blender Jug: Disassemble the blade assembly from the jug. Wash all parts in warm soapy water. The jug can often be cleaned by filling it with warm water and a drop of dish soap, then running the blender on a low speed for a few seconds. Rinse thoroughly.
- Grater and Meat Grinder Attachments: Disassemble all parts. Wash immediately after use in warm soapy water to prevent food residue from drying. Use a brush to clean small crevices. Dry thoroughly.
- Storage: Store the appliance and its accessories in a clean, dry place.
