4. Setup

4.1 Battery Installation

The remote control requires two AAA batteries (not included) for operation. The back view image (Figure 3.3) shows a CR2025 battery, however, the product description states two AAA batteries. Please refer to the product packaging or the remote's battery compartment for the correct battery type.

1. Locate the battery compartment on the back of the remote control.
2. Slide the battery compartment cover open in the direction indicated by the arrow (usually 'OPEN' or 'PUSH').
3. Insert two AAA batteries, ensuring the positive (+) and negative (-) terminals match the markings inside the compartment.
4. Slide the battery compartment cover back into place until it clicks securely.

No programming is required. Once batteries are installed, the remote is ready for use.

5. Operation

The remote control provides direct access to various functions of your Mainstays WFP-22C electric heater.

• ON/OFF Button: Press to turn the electric heater on or off.
• HEAT Button: Controls the heater's heat output settings. Multiple presses may cycle through different heat levels (e.g., low, high, off).
• DIMMER Button: Adjusts the brightness of the flame effect. Press repeatedly to cycle through different dimmer levels.
• TEMP (F) Button: Sets the desired temperature in Fahrenheit. Each press may increase or decrease the target temperature.
