Introduction
The ANENG VD807 is a versatile non-contact voltage tester designed for electrical equipment testing, maintenance, and troubleshooting. It features an LCD display, flashlight, buzzer alarm, and wire breakpoint finder, making it a convenient tool for both professionals and homeowners. This manual provides essential information for the safe and effective use of your VD807 tester.
Setup
Battery Installation
The ANENG VD807 requires two 1.5V AAA batteries for operation. These are typically included with the product. To install the batteries:
- Locate the battery compartment cover on the back of the device.
- Open the cover by sliding or unscrewing it as indicated.
- Insert two 1.5V AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+ and - terminals).
- Close the battery compartment cover securely.

Power On/Off
Press the power button located on the front of the tester to turn it on. The LCD display will illuminate. Press the button again to turn the device off.
Operating Instructions
Non-Contact Voltage (NCV) Detection
The NCV inductive probe allows for safe detection of AC voltage without direct contact. This feature is ideal for identifying live wires in outlets, terminal strips, or supply cords.
- Turn on the VD807 tester.
- Position the tip of the tester near the suspected AC voltage source.
- If voltage is detected, the red tip will glow, and the device will emit beeping sounds. The frequency of the beeps and the intensity of the light indicate the strength of the detected voltage.

Live/Null Wire Judgment
The VD807 features a two-color display to help distinguish between live and null (neutral) wires. This function is crucial for safe electrical work.
- Green Screen: Indicates a null (neutral) wire.
- Red Screen: Indicates a live (fire) wire. The screen will turn red and a safety symbol will shine when high voltage is detected.

Detecting AC Voltage with Touch Pole
For more precise AC voltage detection, the tester can be used with the touch pole feature. Place your finger on the metal contact area on the side of the tester while probing.

Wire Breakpoint Finder
The VD807 can assist in identifying breakpoints in wires. Move the tester along the wire; the detection will cease at the point of the break.

LED Flashlight
The integrated LED flashlight provides illumination in dark working conditions.
- Press the flashlight button (if separate) or the power button (depending on model) to activate the flashlight.
- Press again to turn it off.

Maintenance
To ensure the longevity and accuracy of your ANENG VD807 tester, follow these maintenance guidelines:
- Cleaning: Wipe the device with a dry, soft cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Storage: Store the tester in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- Battery Replacement: Replace batteries promptly when the low battery indicator appears to ensure accurate readings and proper functionality. Remove batteries if the device will not be used for an extended period to prevent leakage.
- Pen Cap: The pen cap is removable for access to the probe tip. Ensure it is securely reattached after use.

Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your ANENG VD807 tester, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Device does not power on. | Dead or incorrectly installed batteries. | Check battery polarity. Replace with fresh 1.5V AAA batteries. |
| Inconsistent or no voltage detection. | Low battery, interference, or incorrect usage. | Replace batteries. Ensure no strong electromagnetic interference. For AC voltage detection, ensure the tip is close to the conductor. For precise readings, use the touch pole. |
| Buzzer alarm is weak or absent. | Low battery. | Replace batteries. |
| LCD display is dim or blank. | Low battery or device malfunction. | Replace batteries. If the problem persists, contact customer support. |
