1. Important Safety Information

  • Do not attempt to operate this oven with the door open as this can result in harmful exposure to microwave energy.
  • Do not place any object between the oven front face and the door or allow soil or cleaner residue to accumulate on sealing surfaces.
  • Do not operate the oven if it is damaged. It is particularly important that the oven door closes properly and that there is no damage to the: (1) door (bent), (2) hinges and latches (broken or loosened), (3) door seals and sealing surfaces.
  • The oven should not be adjusted or repaired by anyone except properly qualified service personnel.
  • Always supervise children when the microwave is in use. The Child Safety Lock feature can be activated to prevent unintended operation.

3. Installation

This Farberware microwave oven is designed for over-the-range installation. Due to its weight and the complexity of electrical and ventilation connections, professional installation is highly recommended. Ensure that the installation area meets the specified dimensions and electrical requirements.

4. Initial Setup

After installation, perform the following steps for initial setup:

  1. Power On: Plug the microwave into a grounded electrical outlet. The LED display will illuminate.
  2. Set Clock: Press the "Timer/Clock" button. Use the number pad to enter the current time. Press "Timer/Clock" again to confirm.
  3. Turntable Placement: Ensure the glass turntable and its support ring are correctly seated inside the oven cavity.

  4. Adjust Volume (Optional): If available, use the "User Pref" or similar button to adjust the volume of alerts and beeps.
  5. Child Safety Lock: To activate the child safety lock, press and hold the "Stop/Clear" button for 3 seconds. A lock indicator will appear on the display. Repeat to deactivate.

  3. Press "Start/+30 Sec." to begin cooking at full power (1000W).

Adjusting Power Level:

  3. Enter the desired power level (1-10, where 10 is 100% power).
  4. Press "Start/+30 Sec.".

One-Touch Cooking Programs:

6. Maintenance and Cleaning
