Important Safety Information

Always read and understand all safety warnings and instructions before operating this tool. Failure to follow the warnings and instructions may result in serious injury.

• Eye Protection: Always wear appropriate eye protection (safety glasses or goggles) when operating the nailer.
• Hand Placement: Keep hands and body parts away from the discharge area of the tool.
• Safety Pole: The brad nailer gun will only trigger when the safety pole is fully pressed against the workpiece. This prevents accidental firing.
• Dry-Fire Lockout: The tool features a tool-free dry-fire lockout setting that prevents operation when the magazine is empty or missing nails, extending tool life.
• No-Mar Tip: Utilize the no-mar tip to protect your work surface from dent damage.
• Battery Safety: Use only the specified 20V Max battery and charger. Do not expose batteries to extreme temperatures or water.

Setup

1. Charging the Battery

Before first use, fully charge the 2.0Ah Li-ion battery.

1. Connect the battery charger to a standard power outlet.
2. Slide the battery onto the charger. Ensure it clicks into place.
3. Monitor the indicator lights on the charger:
   • Blinking Green (Bottom Light): Standby mode.
   • Solid Green (Top Light) & Blinking Red: Charging in progress.
   • Solid Green (Both Lights): Fully charged.
   • Blinking Red (Both Lights): Problem with charger or battery.
4. A full charge typically takes approximately 60 minutes.
5. Once charged, remove the battery from the charger.

2. Installing the Battery

Align the charged battery with the base of the nailer's handle and slide it firmly into place until it locks.

3. Loading Brad Nails

The nailer is compatible with 18 gauge brad nails ranging from 5/8" to 2-1/8" in length.

1. Ensure the tool is turned off and the battery is removed for safety.
2. Locate the quick-release magazine latch at the bottom of the magazine.
3. Pull the magazine follower back until it locks into place.
4. Insert a strip of brad nails into the magazine with the points facing down.
5. Release the magazine follower, allowing it to push the nails forward.

Operating Instructions

1. Powering On/Off

To turn the nailer on, press and hold the power button (circular button) for approximately 2 seconds. A blue light will illuminate, indicating the tool is active. To turn it off, press and hold the power button again for 2 seconds.

2. Selecting Firing Mode

The NEU MASTER Brad Nailer offers two firing modes:

• Single Firing Mode: Ideal for precision placement on delicate projects. In this mode, you must release the trigger after each nail is fired before pressing it again for the next nail.
• Contact Firing Mode (Bump Fire): Suitable for quick and efficient firing on larger projects. In this mode, you can hold down the trigger and repeatedly press the safety pole against the workpiece to fire nails in rapid succession.

To switch between modes, press and hold the mode selection button (next to the power button) for approximately 2 seconds. The indicator light will shift to show the currently selected mode.

3. Adjusting Depth of Drive

The tool features a tool-free depth of drive adjustment for convenient control over nail penetration.

• Locate the depth adjustment dial near the nose of the tool.
• Rotate the dial to increase or decrease the nail's penetration depth. Turn clockwise for deeper penetration, counter-clockwise for shallower.
• Test on a scrap piece of material to achieve the desired depth before working on your main project.

4. Operating the Nailer

1. Ensure the battery is installed and nails are loaded.
2. Turn on the nailer using the power button.
3. Press the nose of the tool firmly against the workpiece, ensuring the safety pole is fully depressed.
4. Squeeze the trigger to fire a nail.
5. Release the trigger (for single firing) or lift the tool and re-engage the safety pole (for contact firing) to prepare for the next nail.

Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your NEU MASTER Brad Nailer.

• Cleaning: Keep the tool clean and free of dust and debris. Use a dry cloth to wipe down the exterior. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
• Magazine Inspection: Periodically check the nail magazine for any obstructions or damage. Ensure the nail follower moves smoothly.
• No-Mar Tip: Inspect the no-mar tip for wear or damage. Replace if necessary to protect your work surfaces.
• Storage: Store the nailer, battery, and charger in a dry, cool place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Remove the battery from the tool before storage.
• Battery Care: Fully charge the battery before long-term storage and recharge every 3-6 months to maintain battery health.
