2. Safety Information

  • Consult a physician before starting any new exercise program.
  • Always inspect all components for damage or wear before each use. Do not use if any part is damaged.
  • Ensure all spinlock collars are securely tightened before lifting to prevent weight plates from slipping.

  • Do not drop the weights, as this can damage the equipment or flooring.
  • Use the equipment on a flat, stable surface.

3. Package Contents

4. Setup Instructions

4.1 Assembling a Dumbbell

  1. Take one dumbbell bar.
  2. Slide the desired weight plates onto each end of the bar.
  3. Secure the weight plates by screwing a spinlock collar onto each end of the bar until it is tight against the plates. Ensure the collars are firmly secured to prevent movement during exercise.

4.2 Converting to Barbell Mode

  1. First, assemble two dumbbells as described in Section 4.1, but only attach plates to one end of each dumbbell bar.
  2. Unscrew the outer spinlock collars from the two assembled dumbbells.
  3. Connect the two dumbbell bars using the padded connecting rod. Screw the connecting rod firmly into the threaded ends of both dumbbell bars.
  4. Slide the remaining weight plates onto the outer ends of the newly formed barbell.
  5. Secure all weight plates by screwing the spinlock collars onto the outer ends of the barbell until they are tight.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Adjusting Weight

To adjust the weight, simply unscrew the spinlock collars, add or remove the desired weight plates, and then re-tighten the collars securely. The set includes 1.25 kg, 1.5 kg, and 2 kg plates, allowing for incremental weight adjustments up to a total of 20 kg.

5.2 Exercise Examples

The Mobiclinic Adjustable Dumbbells 2-in-1 allows for a wide range of exercises targeting various muscle groups. Always prioritize proper form over heavy weight.

Dumbbell Mode Exercises:

  • Biceps Curls: Stand with a dumbbell in each hand, palms facing forward. Curl the weights up towards your shoulders, keeping elbows tucked.
  • Shoulder Press: Sit or stand with a dumbbell in each hand at shoulder height, palms facing forward. Press the weights overhead until arms are fully extended.
  • Triceps Extensions: Hold one dumbbell with both hands, extend it overhead. Lower the dumbbell behind your head by bending your elbows, then extend back up.
  • Lateral Raises: Stand with a dumbbell in each hand at your sides. Raise your arms out to the sides until they are parallel to the floor, then slowly lower.

Barbell Mode Exercises:

  • Squats: Place the barbell across your upper back/shoulders. Lower your hips as if sitting in a chair, keeping your back straight.
  • Deadlifts: Stand with feet hip-width apart, barbell on the floor in front of you. Hinge at your hips and bend your knees to grasp the bar. Lift by extending your hips and knees, keeping your back straight.
  • Bench Press: Lie on a flat bench, grasp the barbell with an overhand grip. Lower the bar to your chest, then press it back up.

6. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Wipe down the bars and plates with a damp cloth after each use to remove sweat and dirt. Do not use abrasive cleaners.
  • Storage: Store the equipment in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Disassemble for compact storage if needed.
  • Inspection: Regularly check all components, especially the spinlock collars and threaded sections, for any signs of wear, cracks, or damage. Replace worn parts immediately.

7. Troubleshooting

  • Issue: Weight plates feel loose during exercise.
    Solution: Immediately stop exercising. Re-tighten all spinlock collars firmly. If the issue persists, inspect the collars and bar threads for damage.
  • Issue: Difficulty screwing on spinlock collars or connecting rod.
    Solution: Ensure the threads are clean and free of debris. Try screwing them on slowly and carefully to avoid cross-threading. Do not force.
  • Issue: Equipment feels unstable in barbell mode.
    Solution: Verify that the connecting rod is fully and securely tightened into both dumbbell bars. Ensure all weight plates are evenly distributed and secured with collars.
