Operating Instructions
1. Powering On
- Ensure the vehicle's battery is securely connected and placed in its compartment.
- Turn on the transmitter first. The power indicator light should illuminate.
- Next, turn on the power switch on the vehicle. The vehicle's electronics will initialize, and you may hear a series of beeps.
- If the vehicle and transmitter do not link automatically, refer to the binding procedure in the troubleshooting section or a separate binding guide.
2. Basic Controls
- Throttle Trigger: Pull the trigger to accelerate forward. Push the trigger forward to brake, then push again for reverse.
- Steering Wheel: Turn the wheel left or right to steer the vehicle.
- Speed Limiter Dial: Located on the transmitter, this dial allows you to adjust the maximum speed of the vehicle. Turn clockwise for higher speed, counter-clockwise for lower speed. This is useful for beginners or when operating in smaller spaces.
- Steering D/R (Dual Rate): Adjusts the maximum steering angle. Useful for fine-tuning steering response.
3. Driving Tips
- Start with the speed limiter set to a lower setting until you are comfortable with the controls.
- Practice steering and throttle control in an open, clear area.
- Avoid sudden, sharp turns at high speeds to prevent rollovers.
- Be mindful of battery life. When the vehicle starts to slow down significantly, it's time to recharge.
4. Powering Off
- Turn off the vehicle's power switch first.
- Then, turn off the transmitter.
- Disconnect the battery from the vehicle for storage.
Maintenance
Regular Checks:
- After Each Run: Inspect the vehicle for any loose screws, damaged parts, or debris. Clean off dirt and dust.
- Wheels and Tires: Check for wear, tears, or punctures. Ensure wheel nuts are tight.
- Suspension: Verify that shocks are functioning smoothly and that suspension arms are not bent or broken.
- Drivetrain: Inspect the spur gear for damage and ensure it's free of debris. Check metal rear drive shafts for bends or wear.
- Electronics: Ensure all wires are securely connected and free from damage. Keep electronics dry.
Battery Care:
- Store LiPo batteries in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- Do not store fully charged or fully discharged LiPo batteries for extended periods. Charge them to a storage voltage (typically around 3.8V per cell) if storing for more than a few days.
- Never puncture or damage LiPo batteries. Dispose of damaged batteries safely according to local regulations.
