Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your Netac ZX20 Portable SSD, refer to the following common solutions.

ProblemPossible Solution
Drive not detected.
  • Ensure the cable is securely connected to both the SSD and the host device.
  • Try a different USB port on your device.
  • Try a different USB cable (use the provided cables).
  • Restart your computer/device.
  • Check Disk Management (Windows) or Disk Utility (macOS) to see if the drive is recognized but unformatted or unallocated.
Slow transfer speeds.
  • Ensure you are connected to a USB 3.2 Gen.2 (or higher) port on your host device. Older USB 2.0 or 3.0 ports will result in lower speeds.
  • Verify your host device's drivers are up to date.
  • The actual speed can vary based on file size, file type, and system configuration. Transferring many small files is typically slower than transferring a few large files.
Cannot write files to the drive.
  • Check if the drive is full.
  • Verify the file system format. If it's formatted as NTFS and you're on macOS, you might need third-party software to write to it, or reformat it to exFAT or APFS.
  • Check for file permissions issues.

If the problem persists after trying these solutions, please contact Netac customer support.
