Setup

1. Powering the Weather Station

The weather station can be powered by either AAA batteries or the included USB power cable.

  • Battery Power: Insert 2 x LR03 AAA batteries (not included) into the battery compartment. When operating on battery power, the backlight will illuminate for approximately 10 seconds after a button press to conserve energy.
  • USB Power: Connect the USB power cable to the DC 5V 600mA input port on the weather station and plug the other end into a suitable USB power adapter (not included). When powered via USB, the backlight can remain continuously on, and its brightness can be adjusted.

2. Setting Up the Wireless Outdoor Sensor

The weather station comes with one wireless outdoor sensor. It supports up to three sensors simultaneously.

  1. Install Batteries: Open the battery compartment of the wireless sensor and insert 2 x LR6 AA batteries (not included).
  2. Placement: Place the wireless sensor outdoors in a shaded area, protected from direct sunlight and rain, to ensure accurate temperature and humidity readings. The sensor has a transmission range of up to 50 meters in an open area.
  3. Pairing: The weather station should automatically detect and pair with the sensor upon power-up. If not, refer to the "Troubleshooting" section for manual pairing instructions.

  7. Time
  8. Alarm icon
  9. Week (Day of the week)
  10. Indoor comfort icon

2. Setting Time and Date

The weather station features a perpetual calendar up to the year 2099. The day of the week can be displayed in 7 languages: English, German, Italian, French, Spanish, Dutch, and Danish. Consult the specific buttons on your device (usually labeled "MODE", "SET", or similar) and the quick start guide for detailed steps on setting the time, date, and language preference.

3. Alarm Clock Function

The device includes two alarms and supports both 12-hour and 24-hour time formats. It also features a snooze function, which can be set for 1 to 30 minutes, or turned off. Refer to your device's buttons for setting and activating alarms.

4. Temperature and Humidity Units

You can switch between Celsius (℃) and Fahrenheit (℉) for temperature readings. Atmospheric pressure can be displayed in inHg or hPa/mb. Look for a dedicated button (often labeled "℃/℉" or "UNIT") to toggle between these units.

5. Weather Forecast

The weather station automatically measures and predicts future weather forecasts through its built-in sensors. The forecast is displayed using intuitive icons.

6. Backlight Adjustment

When the weather station is powered by the USB cable, the backlight can be continuously on and adjusted to 4 different brightness levels. Use the designated button (often labeled "LIGHT" or "BRIGHTNESS") to cycle through the brightness settings.

Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Wipe the weather station and sensor with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents, as they may damage the display or casing.
  • Battery Replacement: Replace batteries in both the main unit and the wireless sensor when the low battery indicator appears on the display. Ensure correct polarity when inserting new batteries.
  • Sensor Placement: Periodically check the outdoor sensor's placement to ensure it remains protected from direct weather elements and is within effective transmission range.

Troubleshooting

ProblemPossible CauseSolution
No display on weather station.Batteries are dead or incorrectly inserted; USB power cable not connected or faulty.Replace batteries, check polarity. Ensure USB cable is securely connected to a working power source.
Outdoor temperature/humidity not displayed or inaccurate.Sensor batteries are low or dead; sensor is out of range; interference; sensor not paired.Replace sensor batteries. Move sensor closer to the main unit. Avoid placing near large metal objects or electronics. Re-pair the sensor (refer to manual for specific pairing steps, usually involves holding a button on the main unit or sensor).
Backlight only stays on for 10 seconds.Weather station is running on battery power. This is normal behavior to conserve battery. For continuous backlight, connect the weather station to USB power.
Weather forecast seems incorrect. The weather station provides a localized forecast based on atmospheric pressure changes, not a professional forecast.Understand that the forecast is an estimation based on local data. Allow time for the station to calibrate after initial setup.
