Image: Front view of the Enerlites HET01 timer switch, displaying the current time and indicating 'AUTO' mode.
1. Automatic Mode
- In Automatic mode, the switch will operate according to your programmed ON/OFF schedules.
- To enter Automatic mode, ensure the small door is closed. The display will show "AUTO".
- The manual ON/OFF switch (located behind the door) should be in the "ON" or "OFF" position as desired for the initial state, but the programmed schedules will take precedence.
2. Manual Mode
- To manually turn the connected load ON or OFF, use the small toggle switch labeled "ON" and "OFF" located behind the door.
- Alternatively, when the door is closed, the main face of the switch acts as a manual button. Pressing the lower part of the switch will toggle the load ON or OFF. The display will show "MAN" when in manual override.
- The manual override will temporarily suspend the programmed schedule until the next scheduled event or until the mode is changed back to AUTO.
Maintenance
- Cleaning: To clean the switch, wipe with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Battery: The internal Ni-MH battery maintains time and program settings during power outages. This battery is typically long-lasting and not user-replaceable. If the timer consistently loses settings after power interruptions, the battery may need service by a qualified technician.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Timer display is blank. | No power to the switch; incorrect wiring; circuit breaker tripped. | Check circuit breaker. Verify wiring connections, especially Line and Neutral. Ensure power is ON. |
| Load does not turn ON/OFF at programmed times. | Incorrect programming; timer is in Manual mode; incorrect time/day setting. | Verify programmed ON/OFF times and days. Ensure the timer is in "AUTO" mode. Check current time and day settings. |
| Timer loses settings after power outage. | Internal battery may be depleted or faulty. | The internal battery recharges when power is supplied. Allow time for recharge. If problem persists, contact customer support. |
| Backlight is not working. | Faulty unit. | Contact customer support for assistance. |
