4. Setup and Installation

Before installing any new accessories, ensure your robot vacuum cleaner is powered off and unplugged from its charging dock.

4.1. Main Roller Brush Installation

1. Turn the robot vacuum cleaner upside down.
2. Locate the brush guard cover, usually secured by two tabs or screws. Open or remove it.
3. Remove the old main roller brush. Clean any debris from the brush compartment.
4. Align the ends of the new main roller brush with the corresponding slots in the vacuum cleaner. One end is typically square, and the other is round.
5. Gently press the brush into place until it clicks.
6. Close or reattach the brush guard cover.

4.2. Side Brush Installation

1. Turn the robot vacuum cleaner upside down.
2. Locate the side brush(es) on the underside of the vacuum.
3. If replacing, unscrew the old side brush (if applicable) or gently pull it off its post.
4. Align the new side brush with the post. Some brushes click into place, while others require a small screw to secure them.
5. Ensure the brush is firmly attached and can rotate freely.

4.3. HEPA Filter Installation

1. Open the dustbin compartment of your robot vacuum cleaner.
2. Remove the dustbin.
3. Locate the filter assembly within the dustbin. Remove the old HEPA filter and any pre-filter foam.
4. Insert the new HEPA filter into the designated slot. Ensure it is seated correctly and snugly. If your model uses a pre-filter, place it before the HEPA filter.
5. Close the dustbin and reinsert it into the vacuum cleaner.

4.4. Mop Cloth Attachment

1. Locate the mop pad attachment or water tank on your robot vacuum.
2. Attach the new mop cloth to the mop pad attachment. This is typically done via Velcro or by sliding the cloth into grooves.
3. Ensure the cloth is flat and securely attached to prevent bunching during operation.
4. If using a water tank, fill it with clean water according to your vacuum's instructions before attaching the mop pad.

4.5. Dust Bag Replacement

1. Locate the dust collection compartment on your robot vacuum or its auto-empty station.
2. Open the compartment cover.
3. Carefully remove the full dust bag. Most dust bags have a self-sealing mechanism to prevent dust from escaping.
4. Insert a new dust bag, ensuring it is fully seated in the slot.
5. Close the compartment cover securely.

• The side brushes sweep debris from edges and corners towards the center.

6. Maintenance

6.1. Main Roller Brush Maintenance

• Procedure: Remove the main brush. Use the provided cleaning tool or scissors to cut and remove any hair, string, or debris tangled around the brush and its bearings. Wipe the brush clean with a dry cloth.

6.2. Side Brush Maintenance

• Frequency: Clean monthly, replace every 3-6 months depending on usage.
• Procedure: Remove the side brush(es). Remove any hair or debris wrapped around the bristles or the brush post. If bristles are bent, you can try soaking them in warm water for a few minutes to reshape them.

6.3. HEPA Filter Maintenance

• Frequency: Tap clean weekly, replace every 2-3 months. Do not wash HEPA filters with water unless explicitly stated by the vacuum manufacturer.
• Procedure: Remove the dustbin and then the filter. Gently tap the filter against a trash can to dislodge dust and debris. Use the cleaning tool's brush end to remove stubborn dirt from the filter pleats.

6.4. Mop Cloth Maintenance

• Frequency: Wash after each mopping session, replace every 3-6 months.
• Procedure: Remove the mop cloth from the attachment. Hand wash with mild detergent and warm water, or machine wash on a gentle cycle. Air dry completely before reattaching.

6.5. Dust Bag Maintenance

• Frequency: Replace when full, typically every 4-8 weeks depending on usage and household dust levels.
• Procedure: Follow the replacement instructions in Section 4.5. Dust bags are generally disposable and not designed for reuse.
