3. Setup
3.1 Initial Winding
As an automatic mechanical watch, it requires initial winding if it has stopped. To wind the watch, rotate the crown clockwise approximately 30-40 times while it is in its normal, pushed-in position. This builds up the initial power reserve. The watch will then continue to wind itself through the motion of your wrist during wear.
3.2 Setting the Time
- Gently pull the crown (Time Adjustment Crown) out to the furthest position.
- Rotate the crown to set the hour and minute hands to the correct time.
- Once set, push the crown back into its normal position.
3.3 Setting the Date and Day
The watch features separate buttons for adjusting the date and month. Refer to Image 2.1 for button locations.
- Setting the Date: Use a small, pointed object (like a toothpick or the provided strap adjustment tool pin) to press the 'Adjust Calendar Button' on the side of the watch until the correct date is displayed in the calendar window.
- Setting the Month: Use a small, pointed object to press the 'Adjust Month Button' on the side of the watch until the 'Month Pointer' indicates the correct month.
- Setting the Day of the Week: The 'Week Pointer' is typically adjusted by rotating the time adjustment crown in the first pulled-out position (if applicable) or by advancing the time past 24 hours. Consult the specific mechanism by gently pulling the crown to the first click and rotating. If this does not adjust the day, advance the time past midnight until the correct day is shown.
Important: Avoid adjusting the date or day between 9 PM and 3 AM, as this can damage the movement's date change mechanism.
3.4 Strap Adjustment
A strap adjustment tool is provided to help resize the stainless steel band. If you are unsure about adjusting the strap, it is recommended to seek assistance from a professional watchmaker to prevent damage.
4. Operating the Watch
4.1 Automatic Movement
Your OLEVS watch is powered by an automatic mechanical movement. It winds itself automatically through the natural motion of your wrist. For consistent operation, wear the watch regularly. If the watch is not worn for an extended period, it may stop and require manual winding as described in Section 3.1.
4.2 Luminous Function
The hands and hour markers of your watch are coated with a luminous material. For optimal glow in dark environments, expose the watch dial to a bright light source for a few minutes.
4.3 Water Resistance (3 ATM)
The watch has a water resistance rating of 3 ATM (30 meters). This means it is resistant to splashes, rain, and brief immersion in water, such as during hand washing or a cold shower. It is not suitable for swimming, diving, snorkeling, or any water sports. Avoid exposing the watch to hot water, steam, or extreme temperature changes, as this can compromise the water seals.

5. Maintenance
Proper care will help maintain the appearance and function of your OLEVS watch.
- Cleaning: Wipe the watch case and strap regularly with a soft, dry cloth to remove dust and dirt. For the stainless steel strap, a slightly damp cloth can be used, followed by immediate drying.
- Avoid Chemicals: Do not expose the watch to solvents, detergents, perfumes, or cosmetic sprays, as these can damage the case, strap, or seals.
- Temperature Extremes: Avoid sudden temperature changes and prolonged exposure to extreme heat or cold, which can affect the movement and water resistance.
- Magnetic Fields: Keep the watch away from strong magnetic fields (e.g., speakers, refrigerators, mobile phones) as magnetism can affect the accuracy of mechanical movements.
- Water Resistance Check: Ensure the crown is always pushed in completely to maintain water resistance. If the watch is exposed to water, dry it thoroughly.
- Servicing: Mechanical watches benefit from periodic professional servicing (typically every 3-5 years) to ensure optimal performance and lubrication of the movement.
6. Troubleshooting
- Watch has stopped: The watch may not have enough power reserve. Manually wind the watch by rotating the crown clockwise 30-40 times. Wear the watch regularly to keep it wound.
- Time is inaccurate: Ensure the watch is fully wound. If the inaccuracy persists, it may be due to exposure to strong magnetic fields. Demagnetization by a professional watchmaker may be required.
- Date/Day not changing or stuck: Check if the date/day was adjusted between 9 PM and 3 AM. If so, avoid further adjustment during these hours. If the issue persists, professional service may be needed.
- Condensation under the crystal: This indicates a breach in water resistance. Immediately seek professional service to prevent further damage to the movement.
