- How it Works:
- The UV-LED light attracts flying insects.
- A powerful, whisper-quiet fan draws insects into the catch basket.
- A patented damper system prevents insects from escaping once trapped.

Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance of your DynaTrap.
- Emptying the Catch Basket:
- Unplug the trap from the power outlet before emptying.
- Locate the catch basket at the bottom of the unit.
- Press the release clip to open the basket.
- Empty the contents into a trash receptacle. It is recommended to do this away from your living area, as some insects may still be alive.
- Close the catch basket securely until it clicks into place.
- Cleaning the Unit:
- Periodically wipe down the exterior of the trap with a damp cloth to remove dust and debris.
- Ensure the fan and light areas are free from obstructions.
- Replacing the UV-LED Bulb:
- The LED bulb is designed to last significantly longer than fluorescent bulbs (up to 6 times longer).
- If the trap's effectiveness decreases, or the light appears dim, the bulb may need replacement.
- Unplug the trap from the power outlet.
- Refer to the specific instructions provided with replacement bulbs for detailed steps on how to access and change the bulb.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Trap is not turning on. | No power, faulty outlet, damaged cord. | Check power connection. Test outlet with another device. Inspect power cord for damage. |
| Trap is on but not catching insects. | Incorrect placement, old bulb, fan obstruction, lure needs replacement. | Relocate trap according to setup instructions. Replace UV-LED bulb. Clear any debris from fan. Replace mosquito lure if applicable. |
| Insects are escaping the catch basket. | Catch basket not securely closed, damper malfunction. | Ensure catch basket is fully closed and latched. Contact customer support if damper appears damaged. |
