Product Overview

The HOLOSUN HE403C-GR is a solar and battery-powered 20mm micro sight engineered for rifle and carbine applications. It features a Green Super LED with an extended battery life and 12 reticle intensity settings. The sight's housing is constructed from durable 6061 aluminum, ensuring robust performance. It includes both a lower 1/3 co-witness mount (1.63") and a low mount (.75") to accommodate various rifle setups.

Setup

1. Unboxing and Initial Inspection

Upon receiving your HOLOSUN HE403C-GR, carefully open the packaging. Verify that all components are present: the micro sight, a cleaning cloth, an FAQ guide, a user's manual, a lower 1/3 co-witness mount (1.63"), a low mount (.75"), and the necessary tools for installation and adjustment. The CR2032 battery for the optic is typically pre-installed or located within the battery tray.

2. Mounting the Sight

The HE403C-GR comes with two mounting options: a lower 1/3 co-witness mount and a low mount. Select the mount appropriate for your rifle or carbine application. Attach the chosen mount to your firearm's Weaver rail. Ensure the mount is securely fastened using the provided tools. The sight itself attaches to the mount via small screws, which can be tightened with the included Allen head tool.

3. Battery Installation (if necessary)

The sight is designed to operate on solar power when sufficient ambient light is available. However, for optimal performance and low-light conditions, ensure the CR2032 battery is correctly installed in the side-mounted battery tray. Use the provided tool to open and close the battery tray securely.

Operating Instructions

1. Powering On/Off and Brightness Adjustment

• The HE403C-GR features Shake Awake technology, meaning it will automatically power on when motion is detected.
• It also has a Solar Failsafe mode, which automatically adjusts reticle intensity based on ambient light conditions when in Auto Mode. In brighter conditions, the reticle will be brighter, and in lower light, it will dim to match.
• To manually adjust brightness, use the digital buttons located on the side of the sight. There are 12 intensity settings, including 10 for daylight and 2 for night vision compatibility.

2. Zeroing the Sight

The sight features adjustment turrets for windage and elevation. Each click adjusts the point of impact by 0.5 MOA. The turret caps are designed with a raised flathead slot, allowing for easy adjustment without needing a separate tool. Simply use the cap itself to turn the adjustment screws. Turn the turrets to achieve your desired zero. The total windage and elevation travel range is ±50 MOA.

Maintenance

1. Cleaning

Regularly clean the lenses using the provided cleaning cloth or a soft, lint-free cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials that could damage the multilayer reflective coatings. Keep the solar panel clean to ensure optimal charging performance.

2. Battery Replacement

The HE403C-GR uses a CR2032 battery with a life of up to 50,000 hours. If the sight's brightness diminishes or it fails to power on in low light, replace the battery. Use the provided tool to open the side-mounted battery tray, replace the old battery with a new CR2032, and securely close the tray.

3. Storage

When not in use, store the sight in a cool, dry place. Ensure the rubber lens covers are in place to protect the lenses from dust and scratches. The Shake Awake feature will put the sight into a low-power sleep mode when no motion is detected, conserving battery life.

Troubleshooting

• Reticle not visible:
  • Check ambient light conditions. If in a dark environment, ensure the battery is installed and functional.
  • Adjust brightness settings using the digital buttons.
  • Verify battery orientation and charge.
• Reticle appears dim or flickers:
  • Clean the solar panel to ensure it receives adequate light for charging.
  • Replace the CR2032 battery.
• Sight not holding zero:
  • Ensure the mount is securely fastened to the firearm's rail.
  • Check the tightness of the screws attaching the sight to the mount.
  • Verify that the adjustment turrets are not loose.
• Buttons unresponsive:
  • Ensure the battery is properly seated and has sufficient charge.
