7. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues, refer to the following troubleshooting tips:

  • No Display or Flickering Screen:
    • Ensure all HDMI cables are securely connected and are HDMI 2.0 compliant.
    • Verify that your monitor and computer graphics card support 4K@60Hz resolution.
    • Try restarting the KVM switch and all connected computers.
    • Test the monitor and HDMI cables by connecting them directly to a computer, bypassing the KVM switch.
  • Keyboard/Mouse Not Responding:
    • Ensure the USB 3.0 Type-A to Type-B cables are securely connected between each computer and the KVM switch.
    • Verify that your keyboard and mouse are connected to the front panel USB 3.0 ports of the KVM switch.
    • Try connecting the keyboard and mouse directly to a computer to confirm they are functional.
    • Ensure the KVM switch is receiving adequate power.
  • USB Devices Not Detected:
    • Confirm the USB device is connected to one of the front panel USB 3.0 ports.
    • Ensure the KVM switch is powered on.
    • Check the USB connection cable between the computer and the KVM switch.
  • Resolution or Window Settings Change After Switching:
    • The KVM switch features EDID adaptive functionality to prevent this. Ensure all connections are stable and the KVM is properly powered.
    • If the issue persists, ensure your graphics drivers are up to date on all connected computers.
  • Switching Delay: A delay of approximately 4-6 seconds is normal when switching between computers. This is due to the system re-establishing connections.
  • No Hotkey Switching: This model of KVM switch only supports switching via the physical buttons on the front panel. Hotkey commands are not supported.
