4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Basic Recording
The dash cam automatically starts recording when powered on. Videos are saved in MOV format.
- Loop Recording: The device records continuously in segments (e.g., 1, 3, or 5 minutes). When the memory card is full, the oldest unprotected files are overwritten.
- Emergency Recording: In case of a sudden impact or collision, the built-in G-sensor will automatically lock the current recording, preventing it from being overwritten.
4.2 Motion Detection
When enabled, the dash cam will automatically start recording if motion is detected in front of the vehicle while parked. This feature requires a continuous power supply (e.g., hardwire kit, not included).
4.3 Night Mode
The dash cam is equipped with a night mode feature to enhance video clarity in low-light conditions, ensuring clear recordings even at night.
4.4 GPS Functionality
The integrated GPS receiver records your vehicle's speed and location data, which can be viewed during video playback using compatible software.
5. Maintenance
5.1 Cleaning the Device
Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the dash cam's exterior and lens. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents, as they may damage the device.
5.2 Memory Card Management
Regularly format your microSD card (at least once a month) within the dash cam's settings to prevent data corruption and ensure optimal recording performance. Back up any important files before formatting.
5.3 Firmware Updates
Check the official Navitel website periodically for available firmware updates. Updating the firmware can improve performance, add new features, and fix bugs. Follow the instructions provided with the update package carefully.
