Setup

Power Supply Options

The Reshow Cassette Recorder Player can be powered by two methods:

  1. 2 AA Batteries (Not Included): Open the battery compartment on the back of the device and insert two AA batteries, ensuring correct polarity.
  2. USB Power Cord (Included): Connect the included USB-C cable to the device's USB-C port and plug the other end into a 5V USB power adapter (not included) or a computer's USB port.

Important: Do not use both batteries and USB power simultaneously.

Inserting a Cassette Tape

To insert a cassette tape:

  1. Gently slide the cassette door open.
  2. Insert your cassette tape with the desired side facing up.
  3. Close the cassette door firmly until it clicks into place.

Operating Instructions

Playing Cassettes

To play a cassette tape:

  1. Ensure the device is powered on and a cassette is inserted.
  2. Press the PLAY button to begin playback.
  3. Adjust the volume using the VOLUME dial.
  4. To stop playback, press the STOP button.
  5. Use the FAST FORWARD and REWIND buttons to navigate through the tape.

Recording Audio to Tape

The device supports recording external audio sources onto a blank cassette tape.

  1. Insert a blank cassette tape into the player.
  2. Connect your external audio source (e.g., computer, phone) to the device's AUDIO TO TAPE input using the included AUX cable.
  3. Press the RECORD button to start recording. The device will automatically begin playing the source audio.
  4. To stop recording, press the STOP button.

Note: The audio signal recorded by this function is analog. Adjust the device volume of the Reshow cassette deck to the maximum for better recording effect. If not satisfied, adjust the volume to achieve the best recording.

Converting Cassettes to MP3 Format

To digitize your cassette tapes to MP3 format on your computer:

  1. Connect the Reshow Cassette Recorder Player to your computer using the included USB-C cable.
  2. The device will be recognized as an external audio device by your computer.
  3. Use audio recording software (e.g., Audacity, available for free online) to capture the audio playback from the cassette player.
  4. Start playback on the cassette player and begin recording in your software simultaneously.
  5. Once recording is complete, stop playback on the device and stop recording in the software.
  6. Export the recorded audio as an MP3 file from your software.
