The OVUTEK Smart Scale is a digital bathroom scale designed to provide comprehensive insights into your body composition. It measures not only body weight but also 13 other key fitness metrics, including BMI, body fat, muscle mass, and more. The scale connects to a dedicated smartphone application, allowing you to track your progress, set goals, and manage health data for multiple users.

Setup
1. Battery Installation:
Locate the battery compartment on the underside of the scale. Insert the two included AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-). The scale display should briefly illuminate.

2. App Download and Pairing:
- Download the 'Ovutek Fitpal' app from your smartphone's app store (available on Apple App Store and Google Play Store).
- Enable Bluetooth on your smartphone.
- Open the 'Ovutek Fitpal' app and follow the on-screen instructions to create your user profile.
- Step onto the scale to activate it. The app should automatically detect and pair with the scale via Bluetooth.

3. Unit Selection:
The scale supports both pounds (lb) and kilograms (kg). To switch units, locate the unit button on the underside of the scale, usually near the battery compartment. Press it to toggle between lb and kg.
Operating Instructions
1. Taking a Measurement:
- Place the scale on a hard, flat surface (avoid carpets or uneven floors).
- Ensure your smartphone's Bluetooth is on and the 'Ovutek Fitpal' app is open.
- Step onto the scale barefoot, ensuring your feet are centered on the electrodes. Stand still until your weight reading stabilizes on the display.
- Your body composition data will be automatically transmitted to the app.

2. Understanding Your Data:
The 'Ovutek Fitpal' app provides detailed analysis of your 14 body composition metrics. Navigate through the app to view historical data, trends, and insights into your health. You can set personal goals and monitor your progress daily, weekly, and monthly.

3. Special Modes:
- Unlimited Users Mode: The app supports an unlimited number of user profiles, making it convenient for the entire family to track their individual health data.
- Zero-Current Mode: For pregnant individuals or those with implanted medical devices (e.g., pacemakers), this mode measures only weight and BMI, avoiding bioelectrical impedance analysis.
- Family Mode: This feature allows you to track the growth of babies or pets. First, weigh yourself, then hold your baby or pet and weigh again. The app will automatically calculate the baby's or pet's weight.

Maintenance
Cleaning:
Wipe the scale surface with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse the scale in water. Ensure the scale is dry before storage or next use.
Storage:
Store the scale in a cool, dry place. Avoid extreme temperatures or direct sunlight. Do not place heavy objects on the scale when not in use.
Battery Replacement:
When the low battery indicator appears on the display, replace both AAA batteries promptly to ensure accurate readings and continuous operation.
