Setup and Installation

Follow these steps for a hassle-free installation:

  1. Prepare Vehicle: Ensure your Wrangler's doors are removed before beginning installation.
  2. Remove Original Bolts: Locate the two existing bolts on each side of the A-pillar. Use appropriate tools to remove these bolts.
  3. Position Mirror Assembly: Align the mirror assembly with the bolt holes on the A-pillar. The design ensures a precise fit.
  4. Install New Bolts: Insert the provided new bolts through the mirror assembly and into the A-pillar holes. Tighten securely to prevent vibration, but do not overtighten.
  5. Adjust Mirror Angle: Once secured, adjust the mirror to your desired viewing angle.

The one-piece design simplifies installation, eliminating the need to reassemble multiple parts each time you use the mirrors.

Operating Instructions

Adjustable Views

The mirrors offer multiple adjustment methods for optimal visibility:

  • Rotation: Rotate the mirror up and down, or front and back.
  • 360-Degree Adjustment: The mirror can be rotated 360 degrees for comprehensive positioning.
  • Vertical/Horizontal: Adjust the mirror vertically or horizontally to achieve a clear, distortion-free view.

Break Away Feature

The mirrors are designed with a "breakaway" function. In the event of an impact with an obstacle, the mirror will automatically adjust inward to help prevent damage to the mirror assembly.

Noise Reduction

The streamlined design of these mirrors helps to effectively reduce wind noise, contributing to a quieter and more comfortable driving experience, especially during off-road adventures.

Wider View and Stability

These mirrors provide an 8.9-inch wide-view mirror surface (225mm), offering a broader perspective of your surroundings. The patented dual-lock pivot system (bolt + reinforced joint) is engineered to minimize vibration and wobble, ensuring a stable and clear view even at higher speeds.

Maintenance

To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your JOYTUTUS Wrangler Mirrors, follow these maintenance guidelines:

  • Cleaning: Clean the mirror glass and housing regularly with a mild automotive cleaner and a soft cloth. Avoid abrasive materials that could scratch the surface.
  • Check Tightness: Periodically inspect all mounting bolts and adjustment points to ensure they remain securely tightened. Retighten if necessary to prevent excessive vibration or movement.
  • Inspect for Damage: After off-road use or any impact, check the mirror housing, glass, and mounting brackets for any signs of damage. Replace any damaged components promptly.
  • Storage: When not in use for extended periods, or if reinstalling doors, remove the mirrors and store them in a safe, dry place to protect them from environmental elements and accidental damage.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter any issues with your mirrors, refer to the following common problems and solutions:

  • Excessive Vibration/Wobble:
    • Ensure all mounting bolts are securely tightened.
    • Check that the rubber washers are correctly installed to minimize vibration.
    • Verify that the mirror's pivot points are tightened sufficiently.
  • Mirror Folds Inward at Speed:
    • This can occur if the mirror's adjustment points are not tightened enough. Securely tighten the pivot and locking set screws.
    • While the breakaway feature is designed for impact, strong wind pressure can cause movement if not properly secured.
  • Poor Visibility/Distortion:
    • Adjust the mirror angle using the flexible adjustment methods described in the Operating section.
    • Ensure the mirror surface is clean and free from dirt or smudges.

If these steps do not resolve the issue, please contact JOYTUTUS customer support for further assistance.
