4. Setup and Assembly

- To Open: From the foot of the bed, firmly grasp the handle or edge of the slatted base (with mattress on it) and lift upwards. The hydraulic mechanism will assist in raising the bed base smoothly. Continue lifting until the base is fully open and locked in the upright position.
- To Close: Gently push down on the slatted base from the foot of the bed. The hydraulic mechanism will slowly lower the base back into the closed position. Ensure the base is fully lowered and flush with the bed frame.
