1. Introduction

The Gaoducash Smart PIR Motion Sensor is a wireless motion detector designed to enhance home security and smart home automation. It operates via WiFi, sending real-time notification alerts to your smartphone through the Tuya Smart or Smart Life application. This sensor features a wide detection angle and distance, advanced infrared detection technology to minimize false alarms, and supports integration with other smart devices for automated routines. No additional hub is required for operation.

4. Setup Guide

4.1 Download the App

The Gaoducash Smart PIR Motion Sensor operates with the Tuya Smart or Smart Life application. You can download either app from your device's app store (Google Play Store for Android or Apple App Store for iOS).

4.2 Install Batteries

The sensor requires two AAA batteries. To install them:

  1. Gently slide open the back cover of the sensor.
  2. Insert two AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
  3. Close the back cover securely.

4.3 Pair the Sensor with the App

Follow these steps to connect your sensor to the Tuya Smart or Smart Life app:

  1. Ensure your smartphone is connected to a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network.
  2. Open the Tuya Smart or Smart Life app and log in or create an account.
  3. Press and hold the reset button on the sensor for approximately 5 seconds using a pin or a similar tool. The LED indicator on the sensor will begin to flash rapidly, indicating it is in pairing mode.
  4. In the app, tap 'Add Device' or the '+' icon. The app should automatically discover the motion sensor. If not, select 'Add Manually' and choose 'Motion Sensor' from the list.
  5. Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the pairing process, which may include confirming your Wi-Fi network and password.
  6. Once successfully added, the sensor will appear in your device list in the app.

5. Installation

The Gaoducash Smart PIR Motion Sensor can be installed in various locations using either the provided adhesive film or screws.

5.1 Choosing a Location

Consider the following when selecting an installation spot:

5.2 Mounting Methods

Using Adhesive Film:

  1. Clean the surface where you intend to mount the sensor.
  2. Peel off the protective backing from the adhesive film.
  3. Attach the film to the back of the sensor.
  4. Press the sensor firmly onto the desired surface for at least 30 seconds.

Using Screws:

  1. Mark the positions for the two screw holes on the mounting surface using the sensor's back plate as a guide.
  2. Drill pilot holes if necessary.
  3. Secure the sensor's back plate to the wall using the provided screws.
  4. Slide the sensor onto the mounted back plate.

6. Operation

6.1 Real-time Monitoring and Notifications

Once installed and paired, the sensor will continuously monitor for motion. When motion is detected, the app will send an instant notification alert to your smartphone. You can view a history of all detected movements within the app.

6.2 Creating Smart Routines

Leverage the Tuya Smart/Smart Life app to create automated routines based on motion detection. This allows your motion sensor to trigger actions on other compatible smart devices.

7. Maintenance

7.1 Battery Replacement

The sensor will send a low battery notification to your app when the batteries need to be replaced. To replace them:

  1. Slide open the back cover of the sensor.
  2. Remove the old AAA batteries.
  3. Insert two new AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity.
  4. Close the back cover securely.
