Please read and follow all safety instructions carefully before installing and operating your ceiling fan. Failure to do so may result in electric shock, fire, or personal injury.

  • Electrical Safety: Ensure the power is turned off at the circuit breaker before installation or maintenance. All wiring must be in accordance with national and local electrical codes.
  • Qualified Electrician: If you are unsure about wiring or electrical connections, consult a qualified electrician.
  • Mounting Structure: The mounting structure must be capable of supporting the weight of the fan (approximately 29 pounds) plus the dynamic load of the fan in motion.
  • Blade Clearance: Ensure there is adequate clearance from the fan blades to any obstacles, including walls and furniture. A minimum of 7 feet (2.1 meters) from the floor to the bottom of the blades is recommended.
  • Downrod Security: Always ensure the downrod is securely fastened to prevent wobbling.
  • Light Kit: Do not attempt to service the LED light kit while power is connected.

4. Installation Guide

Follow these steps carefully to install your POCHFAN ceiling fan. It is recommended to have two people for installation.

4.1 Pre-Installation

  1. Turn off Power: Disconnect power at the main circuit breaker to prevent electrical shock.
  2. Identify Mounting Location: Ensure the ceiling joist or outlet box can support the fan's weight and movement.
  3. Prepare Wiring: Ensure existing wiring is suitable for the fan's electrical requirements (110 Volts AC).

4.2 Mounting the Fan

  1. Attach Mounting Bracket: Secure the mounting bracket to the ceiling outlet box or support structure using appropriate hardware.
  2. Assemble Downrod: Select the desired downrod length (6", 12", or 20"). Feed the fan wires through the downrod.
  3. Connect Fan to Downrod: Securely attach the fan motor housing to the downrod.
  4. Hang Fan: Carefully lift the fan assembly and hang it onto the mounting bracket.

4.3 Electrical Connections

  1. Install Remote Receiver: Place the remote control receiver inside the canopy. This may require careful bending of wires to fit, as noted in customer feedback.
  2. Wire Connections: Connect the fan's electrical wires to the house wiring and the remote receiver wires using wire nuts, following the wiring diagram provided in the separate installation guide. Ensure proper grounding.

4.4 Blade and Light Kit Installation

  1. Attach Blades: Securely attach the nine engineered wood blades to the fan motor housing using the provided screws.
  2. Install LED Light Kit: Connect the LED light kit wires to the fan motor housing.
  3. Attach Light Cover: Secure the acrylic light cover to the LED light kit.
