Setup and Installation

The KODA LED Shop Light can be installed using either suspended mounting or surface mounting. Ensure the mounting surface is capable of supporting the weight of the fixture.

Suspended Mounting

  1. Identify suitable mounting points on the ceiling or overhead structure.
  2. Install the provided hooks or eye bolts into the mounting points, ensuring they are securely fastened.
  3. Attach the chains to the fixture's mounting loops and then to the installed hooks. Adjust chain length to achieve desired height.
  4. Ensure the fixture is level and securely suspended.

Surface Mounting

  1. Mark the desired mounting locations on the ceiling or wall.
  2. Drill pilot holes and install the provided screws or anchors, leaving a small gap for the fixture to slide onto.
  3. Align the fixture's keyhole slots with the installed screws and slide the fixture into place. Tighten screws to secure.

Power Connection

  1. Locate the power input port on the fixture.
  2. Connect the 5 ft. plug-in power cord to the fixture's power input port.
  3. Plug the power cord into a standard 120V AC electrical outlet.

Linking Multiple Fixtures

Up to 6 KODA LED Shop Lights can be linked in a series. To link fixtures:

  1. Install the first fixture as described above.
  2. Connect the linking cable (not included, typically sold separately) from the output port of the first fixture to the input port of the second fixture.
  3. Repeat for additional fixtures, up to a maximum of 6 units.
  4. Ensure the total wattage of linked fixtures does not exceed the circuit's capacity.

Operating Instructions

The KODA LED Shop Light offers three distinct lighting modes: Ambient, Main, and Full Brightness. These modes can be selected using either the integrated pull chain switch or by cycling the wall switch connected to the fixture's power source.

Using the Pull Chain Switch

  • Pull the chain once to turn the light ON to the first mode (e.g., Ambient).
  • Pull the chain again to cycle to the next mode (e.g., Main).
  • Continue pulling the chain to cycle through all available modes.
  • After the last mode, pulling the chain will turn the light OFF.

Using a Wall Switch

  • If the fixture is connected to a wall switch, simply flip the wall switch OFF and then ON again to cycle through the lighting modes.
  • Each OFF/ON cycle will advance the light to the next mode.

Maintenance

The KODA LED Shop Light is designed for minimal maintenance. Follow these guidelines to ensure optimal performance and longevity:

  • Cleaning: Disconnect power before cleaning. Use a soft, dry, or slightly damp cloth to wipe the exterior of the fixture. Do not use abrasive cleaners, solvents, or cleaners containing alcohol, as these can damage the finish or electrical components.
  • Inspection: Periodically inspect the power cord and mounting hardware for any signs of wear, damage, or loose connections. Address any issues promptly.
  • LEDs: The LED light source is integrated and not user-replaceable. The fixture has a long lifespan of up to 50,000 hours.
