5.2 Forward/Reverse Lever

The forward/reverse lever is located above the trigger and allows you to change the direction of rotation.

  • Push the lever to the left for forward rotation (drilling).
  • Push the lever to the right for reverse rotation (removing screws or freeing a stuck bit).

CAUTION: Always ensure the drill has come to a complete stop before changing the direction of rotation.

5.3 Mode Selection (Drill vs. Hammer Drill)

Your drill offers two modes: standard drilling and hammer drilling. Select the appropriate mode based on the material you are working with.

  • Drill Mode (Electric Drill): For drilling in wood, metal, plastic, and other softer materials. This mode provides rotational action only.
  • Hammer Drill Mode (Impact Drill): For drilling in masonry, concrete, and brick. This mode combines rotational action with a hammering motion to break through tough materials.

To switch modes, locate the selector switch on the top of the drill and slide it to the desired icon.

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your drill.

  • Cleaning: After each use, wipe down the drill with a clean, damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners. Keep ventilation openings clear of dust and debris.
  • Chuck Care: Periodically clean the chuck jaws to ensure proper gripping of drill bits. Apply a small amount of light machine oil to the chuck jaws if they become stiff.
  • Cord Inspection: Regularly inspect the power cord for any signs of damage, cuts, or fraying. If damaged, have it replaced by a qualified technician.
