6. Maintenance

  • Water Level: Monitor the water level through the viewing window on the front of the tank. Refill with fresh water when the level drops significantly.
  • Nutrient Replenishment: Add nutrient solutions A and B as directed by the plant's growth stage and the nutrient solution instructions. Typically, nutrients are added every 1-2 weeks, or when refilling the water tank.
  • Water Change: For optimal plant health, it is recommended to perform a full water change every 2-4 weeks. Drain the old water using the independent water outlet, clean the tank, and refill with fresh water and new nutrient solution.
  • Cleaning: Regularly wipe down the system's exterior and light board to prevent dust and algae buildup. The system is designed for easy cleaning.

7. Troubleshooting

  • Plants Not Sprouting: Ensure seeds are fresh and viable. Verify that plastic hats are in place to maintain humidity. Check that the light cycle is active.
  • Slow Growth: Confirm correct nutrient solution concentration and water pH. Ensure the light height is appropriate for the plant's stage. Check that the water pump is circulating properly.
  • Algae Growth: Algae can indicate too much light exposure to the water or nutrient imbalance. Ensure hole covers are used for empty pods. Perform a water change and clean the tank.
  • Water Pump Not Working: Check power connection. Ensure the water level is sufficient for the pump to operate. Clean any debris that might be obstructing the pump.
  • Light Not Turning On: Verify power connection. Check if the system is in sleep mode or if the light cycle is currently in its 'off' period.
  • Control Panel Unresponsive: Try unplugging and re-plugging the power adapter to reset the system. Ensure child lock is not active if you are trying to change settings.
