Operating Instructions
Manual Focus
This is a manual focus lens. To achieve sharp focus:
- Set your camera to manual focus (MF) mode.
- Look through the viewfinder or use the LCD screen.
- Rotate the focus ring on the lens until your subject appears sharp. Utilize your camera's focus peaking or magnification assist features for precise focusing.

Aperture Control
The lens features a manual aperture ring. Rotate the aperture ring to select your desired f-stop (from F2 to F16). A wider aperture (smaller f-number like F2) allows more light and creates a shallower depth of field, while a narrower aperture (larger f-number like F16) allows less light and creates a greater depth of field.
Using Filters
The lens includes a 72mm circular filter holder. To attach a filter:
- Remove the front lens cap.
- Screw the 72mm filter holder onto the front of the lens.
- Attach compatible 72mm ND, graduated ND, or circular polarizer filters to the holder.

Maintenance
- Cleaning: Use a soft, lint-free cloth to clean the lens barrel. For lens elements, use a lens brush to remove dust, then gently wipe with a specialized lens cleaning cloth and solution. Avoid touching the glass surfaces with your fingers.
- Storage: When not in use, keep the lens capped and stored in a dry, cool place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Use a desiccant if storing in humid environments.
- Handling: Avoid dropping or subjecting the lens to strong impacts, as this can damage the optical elements or mechanical components.
Troubleshooting
Lens Not Attaching Securely
Ensure the lens is correctly aligned with the camera mount's red dot and rotated clockwise until it clicks. Check for any obstructions on the lens mount or camera body. Do not force the lens.
Images Are Blurry
This is a manual focus lens. Ensure you are manually focusing correctly using your camera's focus peaking or magnification assist. Check your camera's shutter speed and ISO settings, especially in low light, to avoid motion blur or noise. Verify the aperture setting is appropriate for your desired depth of field.
No Image Displayed
Ensure your camera is set to shoot without a lens attached (often called 'Release Shutter without Lens' or similar, found in your camera's custom settings menu). This is common for manual lenses without electronic contacts.
