2. Safety Information
To ensure safe operation and prevent damage, observe the following precautions:
- Do not expose the speaker to extreme temperatures or direct sunlight for extended periods.
- Ensure proper ventilation; do not block any ventilation openings.
- The speaker has an IPX4 splashproof rating, meaning it is resistant to splashing water. Do not submerge the speaker in water or expose it to heavy rain.
- Use only the provided AC power cord for charging.
- Keep the speaker away from flammable materials.
- Do not attempt to disassemble or modify the speaker. Refer all servicing to qualified personnel.
3. Setup
3.1 Charging the Battery
- Connect the AC power cord to the speaker's power input.
- Plug the other end of the AC power cord into a wall outlet.
- The battery indicator will show the charging status. A full charge provides up to 18 hours of playback, depending on usage.
3.2 Powering On/Off
- Press the power button located on the control panel to turn the speaker on or off.
3.3 Initial Placement and Portability
The JBL PartyBox 310 is designed for portability with integrated wheels and a telescoping handle. Extend the handle and tilt the speaker to roll it to your desired location. Ensure the speaker is placed on a stable, flat surface during use.

4. Operating the Speaker
4.1 Bluetooth Pairing
- Turn on the JBL PartyBox 310.
- Press the Bluetooth button on the speaker's control panel to enter pairing mode. The Bluetooth indicator will flash.
- On your mobile device, enable Bluetooth and select "JBL PartyBox 310" from the list of available devices.
- Once connected, the Bluetooth indicator will remain solid.
4.2 Using Audio Inputs
- Auxiliary Input (3.5mm): Connect an external audio device using the provided 3.5mm auxiliary cable to the AUX input port.
- USB Input: Insert a USB drive containing audio files into the USB port for direct playback. The USB port also supports device charging.
4.3 Microphone and Guitar Inputs
The speaker features two 1/4" input jacks. One is dedicated for a microphone, and the other can be switched between a microphone and an electric guitar input.
- Connect your microphone or electric guitar to the respective 1/4" input jacks.
- Adjust the volume and gain controls for each input on the speaker's control panel.
4.4 Party Lights
The JBL PartyBox 310 features built-in party lighting around the speakers. Use the dedicated light button on the control panel to cycle through different light modes or turn them off.

4.5 Connecting Multiple Speakers (Daisy-Chain)
You can connect multiple JBL PartyBox speakers for a larger sound experience:
- True Wireless Stereo (TWS): Pair two compatible JBL PartyBox speakers wirelessly for stereo sound. Refer to the speaker's on-screen instructions or dedicated TWS button for pairing.
- Daisy-Chain: Use an 1/8" audio cable to connect the audio output of one speaker to the audio input of another. This allows multiple speakers to play the same audio source.
5. Maintenance
5.1 Cleaning
- Ensure the speaker is powered off and unplugged before cleaning.
- Use the provided microfiber cloth or a soft, dry cloth to wipe the exterior surfaces.
