The HOBBYWING Multifunction LCD Program Box Pro is an advanced programming device designed for precise configuration and management of various Hobbywing Electronic Speed Controllers (ESCs). It features a large, easy-to-read display and integrated Bluetooth for wireless connectivity, offering a comprehensive solution for hobbyists and professionals.

• Wide Compatibility: Supports XERUN series car model brushless ESCs (V2.0 and above), EZRUN series car model brushless ESCs (V2.0 and above), PLATINUM series air model brushless ESCs, SEAKING Pro series ship model brushless ESCs, and some ESCs of the QUICRUN series.
• Multi-language Support: Simplifies ESC parameter settings with support for Chinese, English, and Japanese languages.
• Large 2.8-inch LCD Display: Offers improved readability and displays double the characters and screen information compared to previous LCD Program Boxes.
• Profile Management: Easily import and export your favorite ESC profiles, allowing for simple sharing and quick setup of multiple ESCs.
• Integrated Bluetooth Module: Functions as an OTA Programmer, enabling wireless connection to a smartphone via the HW Link V2 app for parameter adjustment and firmware updates for both the ESC and the Program Box itself.

4. Setup and Connections

The Program Box Pro offers multiple connection methods for versatility:

1. Connecting to an ESC:

   Connect the Program Box Pro to your ESC via the dedicated ESC port on the side of the device. Ensure the ESC is powered by a battery for the Program Box to function. The ports are clearly labeled for correct orientation.

2. Connecting to a PC (Windows Only):

   Use a USB Type-C cable to connect the Program Box Pro to a Windows-based computer. Download and install the Hobbywing USB Link program from the official Hobbywing website. This allows for advanced parameter adjustments and firmware updates via the PC software. Please note that Mac operating systems are not officially supported for direct USB connection.

3. Battery Voltage Check:

   The Program Box Pro includes a built-in LiPo checker. Insert the balance lead of your 1-8S LiPo battery into the designated 'Battery Check' port on the side of the device to view individual cell voltages.

5. Operating Instructions

The Program Box Pro features an intuitive interface with a scroll wheel and dedicated buttons for navigation and selection.

5.1. Navigating the LCD Interface

• Scroll Wheel: Rotate the scroll wheel to navigate through menu options and adjust parameter values.
• 'Save' Button: Press this button to confirm selections and save changes to the ESC.
• 'Back/Cancel' Button: Use this button to go back to the previous menu or cancel an operation.

The main menu provides access to:

• Parameter Settings: Adjust various parameters of the connected ESC.
• Data Record: View recorded data from the ESC, such as maximum ESC temperature, maximum motor temperature, maximum current, minimum battery voltage, and maximum motor RPM. Note: Data clears between runs.
• Mode Setting: Manage setup profiles, including switching between profiles, importing, and adding new setup files.
• System Settings: Configure the Program Box itself, including language, screen brightness, sound (on/off), device information, and factory reset.

5.2. Using the HW Link V2 App (Bluetooth)

The built-in Bluetooth module allows for wireless control and updates via the HW Link V2 smartphone application. This provides a convenient way to manage your ESC settings on the go.

1. Download the App: Ensure you have the latest HW Link V2 app installed on your smartphone (available for iOS and Android).
2. Connect: Power on the Program Box Pro and your ESC. Open the HW Link V2 app and search for the device. The default password for initial connection is '888888'.
3. Adjust Parameters: Once connected, you can access and modify all ESC parameters directly from your smartphone.
4. Firmware Update: The app also facilitates firmware updates for both the ESC and the Program Box Pro itself. Navigate to 'Settings' within the app, then 'Setting of the Bluetooth Module' to find the 'Firmware Update' option for the Program Box.

6. Maintenance

To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your HOBBYWING Multifunction LCD Program Box Pro, follow these maintenance guidelines:

• Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the device. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials that could damage the screen or casing.
• Storage: Store the Program Box in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
• Handling: Handle the device with care to prevent drops or impacts that could damage internal components or the LCD screen.
• Firmware Updates: Regularly check for and install firmware updates via the HW Link V2 app or PC software to ensure compatibility and access to the latest features and bug fixes.

• Device Not Powering On: Ensure the connected ESC is properly powered by a battery. Check all cable connections.
• No Connection to ESC: Verify the cable is securely plugged into the correct ESC port on both the Program Box and the ESC. Ensure the ESC is compatible with the Program Box Pro.
• Bluetooth Connection Issues: Make sure Bluetooth is enabled on your smartphone. Restart both the Program Box and the app. Re-enter the default password '888888' if prompted.
• Screen Malfunction: If the screen is unresponsive or displays incorrectly, try performing a factory reset via the System Settings menu.
• Firmware Update Failure: Ensure a stable connection during updates. Do not disconnect the device or power off during the update process. If an update fails, try again with a different USB port or a different device (smartphone/PC).
