5. Maintenance

To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your MekedeTech Android Car Radio Stereo, follow these maintenance guidelines:

  • Screen Cleaning: Use a soft, lint-free cloth to gently wipe the touch screen. Avoid abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals that could damage the display.
  • Software Updates: Periodically check for and install available software updates to ensure the system runs efficiently and has the latest features and security patches.
  • Environmental Conditions: Avoid exposing the unit to extreme temperatures, direct sunlight for prolonged periods, or excessive moisture.
  • Connection Checks: Occasionally inspect all cable connections to ensure they are secure and free from damage.

6. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your car stereo, refer to the following common troubleshooting steps:

  • No Power: Check all power connections. Ensure the vehicle's battery is connected and charged. Verify the fuse for the stereo is intact.
  • No Sound or Intermittent Sound: Check speaker wire connections. Ensure the volume is not muted or set too low. If using Bluetooth or CarPlay/Android Auto, ensure the connection is stable. A system restart may resolve temporary audio glitches.
  • Touch Screen Unresponsive: Perform a system restart. If the issue persists, a factory reset might be necessary (note: this will erase all user data and settings).
  • Wireless CarPlay/Android Auto Lagging or Disconnecting: Ensure your phone's software is up to date. Check for strong Bluetooth and Wi-Fi signals. Try reconnecting the device. For Android Auto, ensure the app is updated on your phone.
  • GPS Not Working: Ensure the GPS antenna is properly installed and has a clear view of the sky. Check GPS settings within the unit.
  • Temperature Display Issues (e.g., Celsius/Fahrenheit): Check the unit's system settings for temperature display options. If not available, this may be a software limitation.
  • Screen Mirroring Issues: If screen mirroring requires an additional app, ensure the app is correctly installed and configured on both the head unit and your mobile device.

If problems persist after attempting these steps, please contact customer support.
