3. Setup
3.1 Power Supply
The HRD-903 radio can be powered by either 3 AAA batteries or via the included USB-C cable.

3.1.1 Battery Installation
- Locate the battery compartment cover on the back of the radio.
- Slide the cover downwards to open.
- Insert 3 AAA batteries (not included) according to the polarity markings (+/-) inside the compartment.
- Close the battery compartment cover securely.
3.1.2 USB-C Power Connection
Connect the included USB-C cable to the USB-C port on the side of the radio. Plug the other end into a USB power source such as a computer, mobile battery, or a USB wall adapter (not included). The radio will operate directly from USB power, and this is also useful when batteries are depleted.
3.2 Initial Power On
Press the POWER button located on the top right of the radio to turn it on. The LCD display will light up, showing the current frequency and time.
4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Power On/Off
- To turn on the radio, press the POWER button.
- To turn off the radio, press the POWER button again.
4.2 Band Selection (FM/AM/Wide FM)
Press the AM/FM button to cycle through the available bands: FM, AM, and Wide FM. The selected band will be indicated on the LCD display.

4.3 Tuning for Stations
4.3.1 Manual Tuning
Rotate the Tuning Dial on the side of the radio to manually adjust the frequency. The frequency will change in small increments.
4.3.2 Automatic Scan
Long press the SCAN button (located on the AM/FM button) to automatically scan for and save available stations. The radio can store up to 58 stations for each band.
4.4 Preset Stations
The radio allows you to save and recall your favorite stations.

4.4.1 Saving a Preset
- Tune to the desired station.
- Press the MEMO button. The preset number will flash on the display.
- Use the M- or M+ buttons to select the desired preset number.
- Press MEMO again to confirm and save the station.
4.4.2 Recalling a Preset
In radio mode, press the M- or M+ buttons to cycle through your saved preset stations.
4.4.3 Deleting a Preset
Select the preset you wish to delete using M- or M+, then long press the DEL button.
4.5 Volume Control
Press the VOLUME up or down buttons to adjust the listening volume.
4.6 Alarm Function
The alarm function allows you to wake up to your preferred radio station.

To set the alarm:
- With the radio off, long press the ALARM button (located on the DEL button). The hour digits will flash.
- Use the M- or M+ buttons to set the hour. Press ALARM again to confirm.
- The minute digits will flash. Use M- or M+ to set the minutes. Press ALARM again to confirm.
- The alarm icon will appear on the display, indicating the alarm is set.
4.7 Sleep Timer Function
The sleep timer allows the radio to play for a set duration before automatically turning off.
To set the sleep timer:
- While the radio is on, press the SLEEP button repeatedly to cycle through the available sleep timer durations (10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80, 90 minutes).
- The selected duration will be displayed. The radio will automatically turn off after the set time.
4.8 Key Lock Function
To prevent accidental operation, you can lock the radio's buttons.

- To activate the key lock, long press the LOCK button (located on the M- button). A key icon will appear on the display.
- To deactivate the key lock, long press the LOCK button again. The key icon will disappear.
4.9 Headphone Use
For private listening, plug the included earphones or any standard 3.5mm stereo headphones into the earphone port on the top of the radio. The radio will automatically switch to headphone output.

5. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the radio's exterior. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Battery Care: If the radio will not be used for an extended period, remove the batteries to prevent leakage and damage.
- Storage: Store the radio in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- Antenna: Handle the telescopic antenna gently to avoid bending or breaking.
