Powering the Device
The Geevon Weather Station offers two power supply options:
- AC Adapter Mode: Connect the included AC adapter to the main unit. In this mode, the screen backlight will remain on, and you can adjust its brightness to 3 levels.
- Battery-Powered Mode: Insert 3 AAA batteries (not included) into the main unit. The screen will light up for 10 seconds when the SNOOZE/LIGHT button is pressed, then automatically turn off to conserve power.
The wireless outdoor sensor requires 2 AAA batteries (not included).

Initial Setup and Sensor Pairing
For optimal performance, follow these steps for initial setup and pairing:
- Insert 2 AAA batteries into the wireless outdoor sensor first.
- Then, power on the main weather station unit using either the AC adapter or 3 AAA batteries.
- The main unit will automatically search for and pair with the outdoor sensor. This process typically takes about a minute.
- Ensure there is no significant electromagnetic interference in the signal transmission path between the main unit and the sensor. The transmission range is up to 200 feet (60 meters) in an open area.

Placement and Maintenance
Optimal Placement
For accurate readings and reliable wireless transmission:

Cleaning and Care
- Wipe the unit and sensor with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Ensure battery compartments are dry and free of corrosion. Replace batteries when the low battery indicator appears.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| No outdoor temperature/humidity reading. | Sensor not paired or out of range; low sensor battery. | Ensure sensor batteries are fresh. Re-pair by removing all batteries from both units, then insert sensor batteries first, followed by main unit batteries. Move sensor closer to the main unit. |
| Inaccurate readings. | Sensor exposed to direct sunlight/rain; interference. | Relocate outdoor sensor to a shaded, protected area. Ensure no strong electromagnetic interference. Allow time for readings to stabilize after relocation. |
| Display is dim or turns off quickly. | Unit is battery-powered; backlight setting. | Use the AC adapter for continuous backlight. If battery-powered, backlight is designed to turn off after 10 seconds to save power. Press SNOOZE/LIGHT to activate. Adjust brightness if using AC adapter. |
| Time/Date incorrect. | Not set correctly. | Follow "Setting Time and Date" instructions using the SET, UP, and DOWN buttons. |
