2. Setup and Assembly

Your ENGWE T14 electric bike comes partially assembled. Follow these steps to complete the setup:

  1. Unboxing: Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Ensure all included components such as the kickstand, mudguard, bell, and tool kit are present.
  2. Unfolding the Bike:
    • Locate the main frame hinge and release the safety latch.
    • Unfold the frame until it locks into place. Secure the safety latch.
    • Adjust the handlebar stem to the upright position and secure its latch.
    • Adjust the seat post height to a comfortable riding position and tighten the quick-release clamp.
  3. Pedal Installation: Identify the left (L) and right (R) pedals. Thread them into the crank arms by hand, then tighten securely with the provided tool. Note that the left pedal threads counter-clockwise.
  4. Initial Battery Charge: Before first use, fully charge the 48V 10Ah lithium battery. Connect the charger to the bike's charging port and then to a power outlet. The indicator light on the charger will change when fully charged.

  • Pure Electric Mode: Engage the throttle for motor-only propulsion (0% - 99% power output). Ideal for effortless cruising.
  • Pedal Assist Mode (Auxiliary): The motor provides assistance as you pedal (0% - 50% power). This mode extends range and reduces effort.
  • Fitness Riding Mode: The motor is off, and you pedal the bike like a traditional bicycle.
