5. Setup and Installation
Installation of the MONDAWE Shower System requires plumbing knowledge. It is recommended to have a qualified professional perform the installation. The shower set adopts American standard 1/2 inch NPT thread, compatible with most standard U.S. plumbing connections.
5.1 Pre-Installation Checklist
- Ensure all package contents are present and undamaged.
- Turn off the main water supply to the bathroom before beginning installation.
- Gather necessary tools (e.g., wrench, pipe sealant, measuring tape, level).
5.2 Valve Body Installation
The valve body is the central component for water distribution and temperature control. It should be securely mounted within the wall according to standard plumbing practices. Ensure proper alignment for the hot water inlet (NPT 1/2"), cold water inlet (NPT 1/2"), 12-inch shower head outlet, 6-inch shower head outlet, and handheld shower outlet.

6. Operating Instructions
Your MONDAWE Shower System is designed for intuitive operation, allowing you to customize your showering experience.
6.1 Water Temperature Control
- The main knob on the control panel adjusts the water temperature. Rotate the knob towards 'H' for hotter water and 'C' for colder water.
- The pressure balance valve automatically maintains a consistent temperature, preventing sudden changes due to water pressure fluctuations in your home.
6.2 Function Selection
The control panel features three push buttons, each corresponding to a specific shower function:
- Button 1 (Top Left): Activates the 6-inch wall-mounted shower head.
- Button 2 (Top Middle): Activates the 12-inch ceiling-mounted rainfall shower head.
- Button 3 (Top Right): Activates the handheld spray.
You can press any combination of these buttons to use functions independently or simultaneously. For example, to use both rainfall and handheld showers, simply press Button 2 and Button 3.

7. Care and Maintenance
Regular cleaning and proper maintenance will ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your MONDAWE Shower System.
7.1 Cleaning the Finish
- Clean the brushed nickel finish with a soft, damp cloth.
- Avoid using abrasive cleaners, harsh chemicals, or scouring pads, as these can damage the finish.
- For stubborn spots, use a mild soap solution and rinse thoroughly with clean water, then dry with a soft cloth.
7.2 Cleaning Shower Head Nozzles
- The silicone nozzles on both shower heads are designed for easy cleaning. Periodically rub the nozzles with your finger or a soft brush to dislodge any mineral buildup.
- For significant mineral deposits, a solution of white vinegar and water can be used. Soak the shower head (if removable) or apply the solution to the nozzles, let it sit for a few minutes, then scrub and rinse.
7.3 General Maintenance
- Check all connections periodically for leaks. Tighten any loose connections as needed.
- If water flow decreases, check for blockages in the shower heads or hose.
8. Troubleshooting
This section addresses common issues you might encounter with your shower system. For problems not listed here, please contact customer support.
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Low water pressure from shower heads | Mineral buildup in nozzles; partially closed shut-off valve; low household water pressure. | Clean shower head nozzles. Ensure shut-off valves are fully open. Consult a plumber if household pressure is consistently low. |
| Water temperature fluctuates | Pressure balance valve issue; external water pressure changes. | The pressure balance valve is designed to prevent this. If fluctuations persist, contact customer support or a professional plumber. |
| Leaks from connections | Loose connections; worn out seals/gaskets. | Tighten connections. If leaks persist, replace seals/gaskets. Ensure proper use of plumber's tape during installation. |
| No water from a specific function | Function button not fully engaged; blockage in the line to that function. | Ensure the corresponding push button is fully depressed. Check for any kinks in the hose for the handheld shower. Inspect for internal blockages if accessible. |
