1. Important Safety Instructions

When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and injury to persons.

  • Read all instructions before operating the grill.
  • Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.
  • To protect against electrical shock, do not immerse cord, plugs, or the main unit in water or other liquid.
  • Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.
  • Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to cool before putting on or taking off parts.
  • Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug, or after the appliance malfunctions or has been damaged in any manner.

  • Always attach plug to appliance first, then plug cord into the wall outlet. To disconnect, turn any control to 'off', then remove plug from wall outlet.

3. Setup and Assembly

Before first use, ensure all packaging materials are removed and clean all removable parts as per the cleaning instructions.

  1. Place the grill base on a stable, heat-resistant, and dry surface.
  2. Insert the Drip Tray into the base. Ensure it is properly seated.
  3. Fill the Drip Tray with approximately 2 cups of water. This is crucial for the smokeless function.
  4. Place the Heating Element securely over the Drip Tray.
  5. Position the Non-Stick Grill Plate on top of the Heating Element, ensuring it sits flat and stable.
  6. Attach the handle to the Tempered Glass Lid if it is not already assembled.
  7. Plug the power cord into a standard electrical outlet.

4. Operating Instructions

The Techwood Indoor Smokeless Grill features an LED Smart Control Panel for easy operation.

  1. Power On: Press the 'POWER' button on the control panel. The grill will begin to preheat.
  2. Activate Fan: Press the 'FAN' button to turn on the Turbo Smoke Extractor Technology. It is recommended to keep the fan on during grilling to minimize smoke.
  3. Set Temperature: Use the temperature control buttons (e.g., 250°F, 300°F, 350°F, 400°F, 450°F) to select your desired cooking temperature. Allow the grill to preheat for 5-10 minutes until it reaches the set temperature.
  4. Place Food: Once preheated, carefully place your food onto the non-stick grill plate. Avoid overcrowding the grill for even cooking.
  5. Grilling: Cook food to your desired doneness, turning as needed. The tempered glass lid can be used to help cook food more evenly and retain heat.
  6. Power Off: After cooking, press the 'POWER' button to turn off the grill. Allow the unit to cool down completely before cleaning. Keep the fan running for a few minutes after turning off the heat to clear any residual smoke.

5. Cleaning and Maintenance

Proper cleaning ensures the longevity and performance of your grill. Always unplug the grill and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.

  1. Disassembly: Carefully remove the Tempered Glass Lid, Non-Stick Grill Plate, Heating Element, and Drip Tray from the grill base.
  2. Cleaning Removable Parts: The Non-Stick Grill Plate, Drip Tray, and Tempered Glass Lid are dishwasher safe. For hand washing, use warm, soapy water and a non-abrasive sponge or cloth. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely.
  3. Cleaning Heating Element: The heating element should not be immersed in water. Wipe it gently with a damp cloth to remove any residue. Ensure it is completely dry before reassembling.
  4. Cleaning Grill Base: Wipe the exterior of the grill base with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the base in water or any other liquid. Ensure the fan intake and exhaust vents are clear of debris.
  5. Reassembly: Once all parts are clean and dry, reassemble the grill in reverse order of disassembly.

6. Troubleshooting
