1. Important Safety Information
Read and understand all safety warnings and instructions before operating this generator. Failure to follow these instructions may result in serious injury or death.
- Carbon Monoxide Hazard: Generators produce carbon monoxide, a colorless, odorless, poisonous gas. Operate outdoors only, far away from windows, doors, and vents.
- Electrical Shock Hazard: Do not operate in wet conditions. Ensure all connections are dry and secure.
- Fire Hazard: Gasoline is highly flammable. Refuel in a well-ventilated area with the engine off and cool. Do not smoke near the generator.
- Hot Surfaces: The generator's engine and muffler become very hot during operation and remain hot for some time after shutdown. Avoid contact.
- Children and Pets: Keep children and pets away from the generator at all times.
- Proper Grounding: Ensure the generator is properly grounded before use.

3. Setup
Before starting the generator, ensure it is placed on a level surface in a well-ventilated outdoor area, away from any combustible materials.
3.1 Add Engine Oil
- Locate the oil fill cap/dipstick.
- Using the provided oil funnel, add 4-stroke 10W-30 engine oil to the crankcase. Do not overfill.
- Check the oil level using the dipstick. The oil should be at the upper limit mark.
- Securely replace the oil fill cap/dipstick.
3.2 Add Fuel
- Ensure the generator is off and cool.
- Open the fuel tank cap.
- Fill the fuel tank with unleaded gasoline. Do not overfill. Leave space for fuel expansion.
- Securely replace the fuel tank cap.
4. Operating Instructions
Follow these steps to start and operate your Aceup Energy IG2200S inverter generator.

Figure 4.1: Engine Starting Steps. This diagram illustrates the 8-step process for starting the generator, including adding oil, adding fuel, turning the fuel cap vent to ON, setting the OFF/ON/CHOKE selector to CHOKE, turning off Economy mode, pulling the recoil starter, letting the engine run for a few seconds, and finally connecting electrical appliances after a 5-minute warm-up.
4.1 Starting the Engine
- Check Oil Level: Ensure the engine oil is at the correct level.
- Check Fuel Level: Ensure there is sufficient unleaded gasoline in the tank.
- Open Fuel Cap Vent: Rotate the fuel cap vent to the "ON" position.
- Set Choke: Move the OFF/ON/CHOKE selector to the "CHOKE" position.
- Disable Economy Mode: Ensure the Economy Mode switch is in the "OFF" position for easier starting.
- Pull Recoil Starter: Pull the recoil starter handle slowly several times until you feel resistance, then pull it quickly and firmly to start the engine. Repeat if necessary.
- Adjust Choke: Once the engine starts, gradually move the OFF/ON/CHOKE selector to the "ON" position.
- Warm-up: Allow the engine to run for approximately 5 minutes without load before connecting any electrical appliances.
4.2 Connecting Electrical Appliances
- After the warm-up period, plug your 230V AC or USB devices into the appropriate outlets.
- Do not exceed the generator's rated running wattage (1800W) or peak wattage (2000W).
- If an overload occurs, the overload indicator will light up, and the generator may shut down. Disconnect devices, reset the AC breaker, and restart if needed.
4.3 Economy Mode
The Economy Mode switch allows the engine speed to automatically adjust to the connected load, improving fuel efficiency and reducing noise. For maximum power or when starting high-load devices, switch Economy Mode to "OFF".
4.4 Stopping the Engine
- Disconnect all electrical appliances from the generator.
- Allow the generator to run for a few minutes without load to cool down.
- Move the OFF/ON/CHOKE selector to the "OFF" position.
- Rotate the fuel cap vent to the "OFF" position for storage.
5. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your generator. Always perform maintenance with the engine off and cool.
5.1 Engine Oil
- Check Oil: Check the engine oil level before each use.
- Change Oil: Change the engine oil after the first 20 hours of operation, then every 50 hours or annually, whichever comes first.
5.2 Air Filter
- Inspect: Inspect the air filter every 50 hours or every 3 months.
- Clean/Replace: Clean or replace the air filter more frequently if operating in dusty conditions.
5.3 Spark Plug
- Inspect: Inspect the spark plug every 100 hours or every 6 months.
- Clean/Replace: Clean or replace the spark plug as needed using the provided spark plug wrench.
5.4 Fuel System
- Fuel Filter: Inspect and clean the fuel filter annually.
- Fuel Storage: For long-term storage (over 30 days), drain the fuel tank and carburetor to prevent fuel degradation.
6. Troubleshooting
Refer to this section for common issues and their solutions.
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Engine does not start | No fuel, low oil, choke incorrect, spark plug issue, fuel cap vent closed. | Add fuel, check oil level, adjust choke, inspect/replace spark plug, open fuel cap vent. |
| No power output | Overload, AC breaker tripped, faulty connection. | Reduce load, reset AC breaker, check connections. |
| Engine runs rough | Stale fuel, dirty air filter, incorrect choke setting. | Drain and replace fuel, clean/replace air filter, adjust choke. |
| Generator shuts down | Low oil level, overload, overheating. | Check/add oil, reduce load, allow generator to cool. |
