This manual provides detailed instructions for the installation, operation, and maintenance of the Baomain BM-J01-F Nonprogrammable Thermostat. 2. Safety Information

3. Product Overview

The Baomain BM-J01-F is a manual temperature controller for radiant floor heating systems. It features a simple dial for temperature adjustment and an LED indicator for heating status.

4. Setup and Installation

Proper installation is critical for the safe and efficient operation of your thermostat. Please follow these steps carefully.

4.1 Wiring Diagram

Refer to the wiring diagram below for correct electrical connections. Ensure all connections are secure and insulated.

4.2 Physical Installation

  1. Power Disconnection: Turn off the main power supply at the circuit breaker before beginning any installation work.
  2. Mounting: The thermostat is designed for concealed installation. The installation hole distance is 60mm. Note that this thermostat may not fit standard American electrical boxes without modification or an adapter plate.
  3. Wiring: Connect the power supply wires, heating load wires, and the floor sensor wires to the appropriate terminals as shown in Figure 3. Ensure proper gauge wires are used for the 16A load.
  4. Sensor Placement: Install the 3-meter floor temperature sensor in the floor, ideally within the heating mat/cable area, to accurately measure floor temperature.
  5. Secure Thermostat: Mount the thermostat securely into the wall box.
  6. Restore Power: Once all connections are secure and the thermostat is mounted, restore power at the circuit breaker.

5. Operating Instructions

The Baomain BM-J01-F thermostat is designed for straightforward manual operation.

  1. Power On: Ensure power is supplied to the thermostat.
  2. Set Temperature: Rotate the temperature dial on the front of the thermostat to your desired floor temperature. The temperature range is from 40°F to 104°F.
  3. Heating Indicator: A small LED light on the thermostat will illuminate when the heating system is actively engaged to reach or maintain the set temperature.
  4. Temperature Control: The thermostat will automatically turn the heating system on and off to maintain the set floor temperature within its accuracy range.
