3. Setup

1. Unpacking: Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Ensure all parts are present: coffee maker unit, detachable water tank, reusable ground coffee filter, and instruction manual.
2. Initial Cleaning: Before first use, wash the detachable water tank, reusable filter, and drip tray with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry.
3. Water Tank Installation: Place the detachable 40 oz water tank onto the back of the coffee maker. Ensure it is securely seated.
4. Fill Water Tank: Fill the water tank with fresh, cold water up to the 'MAX' line (40 oz). Do not exceed the 'MAX' line. The minimum fill level is 15 oz.
5. Power Connection: Plug the coffee maker into a grounded electrical outlet. The power button will illuminate.
6. Initial Rinse Cycle: To clean the internal components, perform a rinse cycle without coffee. Fill the water tank, place an empty mug on the drip tray, select the 14 oz brew size, and press 'BREW'. Discard the hot water. Repeat this process 2-3 times.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1. Brewing with K-Cups

1. Open Lid: Lift the lid of the brewing chamber.
2. Insert K-Cup: Place a K-Cup pod into the K-Cup holder. Ensure it is seated correctly.
3. Close Lid: Firmly close the lid until it clicks into place.
4. Place Mug: Place your coffee mug on the drip tray.
5. Select Brew Size: On the touchscreen, press the 'SIZE' button repeatedly to cycle through the available brew sizes (6 oz, 8 oz, 10 oz, 12 oz, 14 oz) until your desired size is illuminated.
6. Start Brewing: Press the 'BREW' button. The coffee maker will begin heating and then dispense coffee into your mug.
7. Enjoy: Once brewing is complete, carefully remove your mug and enjoy your coffee.

4.2. Brewing with Ground Coffee

1. Open Lid: Lift the lid of the brewing chamber.
2. Prepare Filter: Open the reusable ground coffee filter. Fill it with your desired amount of ground coffee, ensuring not to exceed the 'MAX' fill line inside the filter. Close the filter lid securely.
3. Insert Filter: Place the filled reusable filter into the brewing chamber.
4. Close Lid: Firmly close the lid until it clicks into place.
5. Place Mug: Place your coffee mug on the drip tray.
6. Select Brew Size: On the touchscreen, press the 'SIZE' button repeatedly to cycle through the available brew sizes (6 oz, 8 oz, 10 oz, 12 oz, 14 oz) until your desired size is illuminated.
7. Start Brewing: Press the 'BREW' button. The coffee maker will begin heating and then dispense coffee into your mug.
8. Enjoy: Once brewing is complete, carefully remove your mug and enjoy your coffee.

5. Maintenance and Cleaning

5.1. Daily Cleaning

• Water Tank: The detachable 40 oz water tank can be easily removed and washed with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly.
• Reusable Filter: After each use with ground coffee, remove and empty the reusable filter. Wash it with warm, soapy water and rinse.
• Drip Tray: The removable drip tray collects spills and can be easily detached for cleaning. Wash with warm, soapy water and rinse.
• Exterior: Wipe the exterior of the coffee maker with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the unit in water.

5.2. Descaling (Deep Cleaning)

Over time, mineral deposits (scale) can build up inside your coffee maker, affecting performance and taste. The descaling indicator light will illuminate when it's time for a thorough cleaning.

1. Prepare Solution: Fill the water tank with a mixture of white vinegar and water (e.g., 1:1 ratio) or a commercial descaling solution according to its instructions.
2. Start Self-Cleaning: Place a large empty mug or container on the drip tray. Press and hold the 'SIZE' and 'BREW' buttons simultaneously for 5 seconds. The coffee machine will automatically enter cleaning mode and run the descaling cycle.
3. Rinse Cycles: After the descaling cycle is complete, empty the water tank and refill it with fresh, clean water. Run 2-3 full brew cycles with plain water to rinse out any remaining descaling solution.
