Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Camera not recognized by phone. | Loose connection, phone case interference, OTG not enabled, app permissions not granted. | Ensure the camera is securely plugged in. Try removing the phone case or using the extension cable. Check phone settings to ensure OTG is enabled. Verify HIKMICRO Viewer app has necessary permissions (File and Media, Camera). |
| Poor image quality or static. | Dirty lens, incorrect focus, sensor heating up (after prolonged use), environmental factors. | Clean the thermal lens. Adjust the focus ring on the camera. Allow the device to cool down if used for an extended period. Be aware that some surfaces reflect heat and may appear hotter than they are. |
| App not saving images/videos to gallery. | "Save Pictures to Phone" setting disabled in app. | Go to HIKMICRO Viewer app settings (General) and enable "Save Pictures to Phone". |
| App crashes or freezes. | Outdated app version, insufficient phone resources, software conflict. | Update the HIKMICRO Viewer app to the latest version. Close other background applications. Restart your phone and the app. |
