Setup
- Unpacking: Carefully remove all packaging materials and any promotional labels or stickers from your air fryer.
- Cleaning: Before first use, wash the cooking basket and crisper plate thoroughly with hot water, dish soap, and a non-abrasive sponge. Wipe the inside and outside of the appliance with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the main unit in water.
- Placement: Place the air fryer on a stable, level, heat-resistant surface. Ensure there is at least 10 cm (4 inches) of free space on the back and sides, and 10 cm (4 inches) above the appliance to allow for proper air circulation.
- Power Connection: Plug the power cord into a grounded wall outlet.
- First Use (Burn-in): It is recommended to run the air fryer empty for about 10-15 minutes at 180°C (356°F) before cooking food for the first time. This helps to burn off any manufacturing residues and eliminate initial odors. A slight smell may be present, which is normal.
Operating Instructions
The GADNIC Digital Air Fryer features an intuitive touch control panel for easy operation.
Basic Operation:
- Power On: Plug in the air fryer. The power button will illuminate. Touch the power button to turn on the display.
- Pre-heating (Recommended): For best results, pre-heat the air fryer before adding food. Set the desired temperature (e.g., 180°C / 356°F) and time (e.g., 3-5 minutes) using the temperature and timer controls. Press the start/pause button to begin pre-heating.
- Loading Food: Once pre-heated, carefully pull out the cooking basket. Place your food inside the basket, ensuring not to overfill it. Do not exceed the MAX fill line.
- Setting Time and Temperature: Use the temperature control buttons (up/down arrows) to adjust the cooking temperature (80-200°C). Use the timer control buttons (up/down arrows) to set the cooking time (1-60 minutes).
- Start Cooking: Press the start/pause button to begin the cooking cycle. The fan and heating element will activate.
- Shaking/Flipping Food: For even cooking, especially with smaller items like fries, pull out the basket halfway through the cooking time and gently shake or flip the food. The air fryer will pause automatically when the basket is removed and resume when reinserted.
- End of Cooking: The air fryer will beep when the set cooking time has elapsed. Carefully pull out the basket and transfer the cooked food to a plate using tongs.
Using Presets:
The top panel of your air fryer features several preset icons for common foods. These presets automatically set an optimal temperature and time for specific dishes. Simply touch the desired preset icon on the control panel to activate it. You can still adjust the time and temperature manually after selecting a preset if needed.
- Fries: Typically 180°C for 15-22 minutes.
- Chicken: Typically 200°C for 18-25 minutes.
- Fish: Typically 180°C for 8-14 minutes.
- Cake/Baked Goods: Typically 200°C for 15-18 minutes.
Note: Cooking times and temperatures are approximate and may vary based on food quantity, size, and desired crispiness. Always use a food thermometer to ensure food is cooked to a safe internal temperature.
Maintenance and Cleaning
Regular cleaning will extend the life of your air fryer and ensure optimal performance.
- Unplug and Cool: Always unplug the air fryer from the power outlet and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
- Basket and Crisper Plate: The cooking basket and crisper plate are dishwasher safe. Alternatively, wash them with hot water, dish soap, and a non-abrasive sponge. For stubborn residue, soak them in hot water for about 10 minutes before cleaning.
- Interior: Wipe the interior of the air fryer with a damp cloth and mild detergent. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads.
- Exterior: Clean the exterior of the appliance with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the main unit in water or any other liquid.
- Heating Element: If necessary, gently clean the heating element with a soft brush to remove any food residue.
- Storage: Ensure all parts are clean and dry before storing the air fryer in a cool, dry place.
